Good morning,

I have completed DS160 and created accounts for my children (they are going to join me in the US) and I know since they are under 14 they do not need an interview but I still have to get medical and submit passport to embassy. I am having no luck in scheduling the interview appointment (there are never any open dates). Is anyone else having a problem with no dates available?

Hello how are you, it turns out that my father did not fill taxes last year and well we only have the affidavit and we need to upload a letter where we explain the reason, the truth is that we do not know much about that and I would like to know if anyone would have a template of a letter in Word or pdf so as to simply change the information or have a guide on how to write the letter correctly.

Welcome and Congratulations on your approval!

This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy.

A few helpful NVC links:

NVC phone number is (603)334-0888

Please note: They are currently NOT answering queries over the phone!

They are answering through the below emails :

NVCinquiry@state.gov

OR

NVCResearch@state.gov

Once you ve received your NVC case number you can track your case online using the following link, until it is sent to your embassy:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

If you need to submit an inquiry, change an address , or need to update your info in anyway NVC also has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request as well as other requests:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Also, inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way.

These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been very helpfully put together by senior VJ Member Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread, please read these first as these are the most asked questions.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view?usp=sharing

NVC sends petitions to the embassy every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I noticed a 2024 shipping calendar being shared but have not confirmed if it is accurate. Once I do, I will repost it below.

With that calendar you can use it to track when the next shipment date will be.

Removal of conditions and pending divorce

So my husband and I are in the middle of a divorce. He should be filing for removal of conditions in January. I read if he files the waiver he will get a rfe asking for the final divorce decree. right now people are receiving conditional approvals for 2 years and in some states 4 years due to backlog. With that being said.. will they still provide this "letter" even if he is in rfe status? If they do not provide the letter.. then technically he isn't legally able to work causing his job to let him go.

New here and looking for advice - Northern Virginia resident with fiancé in the Dominican Republic

Hello all,

I am brand new here and feeling dishearteningly lost. I live in the Northern Virginia area and my fianc is in the Dominican Republic. We want he and his 6-year-old daughter to join me in the US as soon as possible. I am looking for opinions and advice - for anyone who has been through the K-1 process (especially if you've been through it with the Dominican Republic), would you recommend 1) doing it on your own, 2) using a service like Boundless Immigration, or 3) hiring an attorney?

I was nearly ready to hire an attorney but the cost is outrageous. With that said though - if the process is truly as complicated as it sounds, is the attorney investment worth it?

Has anyone used Boundless Immigration? Their fees are more reasonable, but are they worth it? Do they actually assist with the process?

I appreciate anyone taking the time to reply. I truly feel at a loss right now.
