Good morning,

Has anyone had the experience of marrying on a K1 visa and bringing thier child to the US at a later date but within the year timeframe? My husbands children were included on the petition but did not come when he came. They told us we had a year to bring the kids over on the K1 petition so I just wanted to know, do I just complete their DS-160 for their visa and once approved they can come? I read where it said, children under 13 did not need an interview. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome and Congratulations on your approval!

This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy.

A few helpful NVC links:

NVC phone number is (603)334-0888

Please note: They are currently NOT answering queries over the phone!

They are answering through the below emails :

NVCinquiry@state.gov

OR

NVCResearch@state.gov

Once you ve received your NVC case number you can track your case online using the following link, until it is sent to your embassy:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

If you need to submit an inquiry, change an address , or need to update your info in anyway NVC also has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request as well as other requests:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Also, inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way.

These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been very helpfully put together by senior VJ Member Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread, please read these first as these are the most asked questions.

NVC sends petitions to the embassy every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A FB group has created a shipping chart for 2023 that you can use to track when the next shipment date will be. It seems to line up with all the dates I ve seen so far so I think it s accurate and will include it below.

Credit problem in my native country, can affect my process?

Hello, I have a question and I don't know if this is the right place, I'm asking for your help.
I am in the process of waiting for a residency visa appointment. A few months ago I bought some air tickets with my credit card, and two days later I paid for it. Months later the bank is charging me money, and when I find out, the bank tells me that they are the air tickets that I bought, they say that they were 2 months and 11 days in transit! something that is illegal in this country, apart from the fact that I understand that by regulation, the airline cannot board a passenger without having collected their money, but that is not the issue, meanwhile, the bank has not been able to explain to me Where has the money I paid you for those tickets months ago gone? I am currently in a legal process with the bank, and yesterday the bank threatened me saying that they WILL NOTIFY the embassies and consulates accredited to my country so that they are aware of my alleged bad credit behavior.
While i solve this situation, can that affect me in my residence visa process?
