My AOS for my k2 was denied. After doing research, I am now resubmitting the AOS from scratch (yes, very costly), do I also have to resubmit form I-765 if in my USCIS acct it doesn't show cancelled?

Hello...Welcome! For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and for you to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together. Use the USCIS case tracker to follow your case online once you ve received your case number: https://egov.uscis.gov Stay patient because this is a long process currently running 7-9 months for your NOA2 (or petition approval by USCIS first stage). Then your petition will be sent to NVC which runs about another additional 8-10 weeks processing (second stage) and finally your interview at the embassy (third stage). Also, do not compare yourself to others....Some will receive NOA-2 faster than others, some will be stuck at NVC for longer and then finally some will receive interviews fairly quickly at embassy. STAY PATIENT! Please be sure to create the timeline in your profile. Also note that USCIS goes by "Received date" : Example I-129 F Sent - January 2, 2023 I-129 F Received - January 6, 2023 (NOA-1) I-129 F - Notice Date - January 10, 2023 In this example your NOA-1 should be January 6. This will help you fill out your timeline properly.

Welcome and Congratulations on your approval! This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy. Your case will be forwarded from USCIS to NVC shortly (cases have been taking 30-60 days to reach NVC. Please be patient). Once your case has arrived at NVC , you will be assigned a new case number (your old USCIS case number will not give you any NVC updates). A few helpful NVC links: NVCResearch@state.gov NVC phone number is (603)334-0888 I am including this in hopes that they will reinstate the number in the future : They are currently NOT answering queries over the phone!! They are primarily answering all queries solely via their public contact page NVC PUBLIC INQUIRY FORM: If you need to submit an inquiry, change an address , request your new NVC case number or need to update your info in anyway NVC has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request as well as many other requests: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html Once you ve received your NVC case number you can track your case online using the following link, until it is sent to your embassy: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV Also, inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way. These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been very helpfully put together by senior VJMember Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread, please read these first as these are the most asked questions. Please note, it was brought to my attention that some of the information may be outdated, but most of the helpful tips and tricks are still accurate. Regarding your packet 3, there isn t anyone within VJ currently providing that information for each embassy so that part of the PDF may be disregarded. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view?usp=sharing NVC sends petitions to the embassy every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We normally have a calendar but I haven t located one for 2025 yet.

Hello VJ members, I hope you are all doing great!! I am a U.S. citizen and submitted an I-130 petition for my husband on March 26, 2024, followed by a K-3 visa request on April 5, 2024. Recently, I noticed that processing times for the I-130 have increased to 16 months, with no apparent efforts to reduce them. Additionally, processing times for K-1, K-2, K-3, and K-4 visas are averaging about 8.5 months, and we have already been waiting for approximately 9 months. I was wondering if it would be possible to submit an inquiry regarding the K-3 visa. While I understand the K-3 visa process is rarely utilized, my intention is to draw attention to our case. Although we are not in an urgent situation, waiting 16 months for the I-130 processing, followed by an additional year in our home country to secure an appointment, feels unreasonable. Again, I know K3 is dead... Thanks in advance, Regards, Renzo C.
