On May last year I sent the whole package for adjustment of status (i-485 / i-130/ i-130a/ i-944) two weeks later I got the confirmation that my package was received and the check was cashed, the letter also said I would receive a following letter with confirmation for my Biometrics, but I haven't received it yet, and its been almost 1 year, should I be worried or this is normal time because of covid? does hiring a lawyer help? BTW Im located in Orlando, FL.

thanks for your comments!

Ari

Interview in Bogota and Medical

Some advice would be greatly appreciated about this because I can't find anywhere a similar question.

We got our K1 approved. We're waiting for our packet of instructions for her interview, but we did some digging and found the instructions already online. It says that we need to do the medical exam before the interview, and need to do blood screen and chest x-ray before the medical. It also says the only place to get all of this done is in Bogota. I'm curious how little time can be between the blood draw/x-ray appointment and the medical exam. Also how little time can be between the medical exam and interview. The reason why I'm asking this is to possibly avoid the cost and nuisance of 1, 2, or 3 out of potentially 4 round trip flights that my fianc will have to do. Also I don't know if the fingerprint appointment or any other appointments that I'm not mentioning HAS to be in Bogota, and if again this would have to be a separate day from the interview and how little time can be in between everything. I thought the initial application process and request for more evidence was complicated enough, but this is pretty confusing and the instructions aren't very intuitive.

For example if it can all be done 1 day apart: blood test/xray day 1, medical day 2, interview day 3 that would only be 1 flight and 2 nights in Bogota. Saving a lot of time and money.

I'm guessing more realistically it could be: 1 trip for blood test/xray, then flying back and waiting for the results. Followed by a 2nd trip day 1 medical exam, day 2 interview.

The third option would be really dumb if all 3 need to be far enough apart that it doesn't make sense to stay in Bogota and pay for hotel/airbnb between appointments.

K1 I-134 Form - Part 2 and 3 Inquiry

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. My fianc and I are preparing for our interview in just a couple of weeks and I am filling out the I-134 form. I have a couple of questions:

Regarding Part 2 "Information about the Beneficiary"

Beneficiary's Children: My fianc has a son who will be staying with his mother in Venezuela. We intend for him to come and visit us in the future but for our K1 visa, I will not be sponsoring him. I did include him on the I-129F and noted that he would not be traveling with my fianc . My question is, do I list the child on the I-134? Or leave it blank since he is not traveling with my fianc ?

Regarding Part 3 "Income and Asset Information"

Part 3, page 3, number 4 asks for "Balance of all my savings and checking accounts in United States-based financial institutions"

I have two checking accounts and one savings account. I can certainly add up the total of all three, but obviously this number is ever changing as money comes and goes. Currently I have the total for my three accounts listed at the time I am filling out the form. Will it be any issue if my bank statements do not match exactly?

I realize this may be a silly question, because of course we are all spending and making money, so perhaps I am overthinking it. Just want to be sure I don't mess anything up or cause confusion at the interview. BTW...I make well over the poverty guidelines, in case that matters for this question.

Thank you!

A friend is here in the US working and applied for his SSN in October. They aren't able to produce a SSN due to his immigration status. He has to contact USCIS to sort this out. I have tried calling to no avail. Anyone been in this situation or can help?? TIA!
