Questions on I-130A |

My fianc e and I are getting married later this month and I'm preparing the forms beforehand so I have everything ready to send as soon as we receive the marriage certificate. I have a few questions about how my future wife should fill out form I-130A. -Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see the option to fill out this one online. If I'm filing the I-130 online, do I then attach the I-130A in the Evidence section? -I understand that since my future spouse lives outside the United States she does not need to sign the form. However, of course we'll have the opportunity for her to do so at our wedding. Is it better if it does in fact have her signature? -One question asks "Last Physical Address Outside the United States of more than a year." She's lived at her current address less than a year, so does this mean the last place where she lived at least one year? She'll of course provide full address history for past 5 years in the supplementary section as instructed. -Is it ok for me to be the person listed as her interpreter, or do we need to have a 3rd party interpret? Thank you.

My fianc e and I are getting married later this month, and I'm starting the I-130 petitions for her and her daughter online now so that I have everything ready to submit as soon as we receive the marriage certificate. On the form for my fianc e's daughter, it has sections to upload "Child's birth certificate" and for "Proof of marriage to the child's mother." The next section is "Proof Of Legal Termination Of Parents' Prior Marriages." My fianc e was never married to her child's father, so we do just leave this blank, or do we need to provide any evidence to prove this? The next section is "Proof of stepparent/stepchild relationship, which again asks for the child's birth certificate, marriage certificate to the parent of the child, and proof of termination of prior marriages. I assume this section is just redundant, and we attach the exact same documents? Thank you for your help.

Hi All, We are in Buenos Aires and my Fiance's (Colombian | Beneficiary) passport was stolen this past Sunday. I accidentally left a bag on the ground with the passport as we got into a taxi for th airport to leave the country and it was stolen. We missed our flight due to this and I decided to rent an AirBnB for two weeks so we could get everything resolved. My fiance went to the Argentinian police and reported it lost/stolen. she did NOT report it to the Colombian government as lost though. We have passed the inital steps andhave set dates to go for biometrics and the consular interview at the Colombian embassy the last week in December. We are now locked in an argument about next steps and need advice. My fiance wants to put up flyers where it was stolen offering a reward to get the passport back with no questions asked. She belives she can still get it back (It's been gone for 4 days now) and doesn't want to report it. Her concern is if we report it lost to her goverment we will delay the process and complicate things. She has her Colombian ID so she can leave the country to go back to Colombia so she wants to wait for a person to return it. I want her to report it lost to the Colombian goverment now and start the process for a new passport. My concern is identity theft and to not waste any time getting a new one so we can have a new passport before the biometics and interview in December. What are next steps that we should be taking here? Also how do we report this to the US Gov / US Embassy so we don't have any issues? Thank you all!

I am the American citizen, my wife is the petitioner. Our marriage started with genuine intentions but it looks like there is no disney ending for us and we are likely to file a no fault, irreconcilable differences divorce. Her two year green card expires at the end of this December and we had started preparing the 751 paperwork. However, with this potential divorce wrinkle, I want to get some feedback on whether to file jointly still as married or for her to file single with divorce pending. My understanding is we have two choices. Option 1 file joint i751 and start divorce. Send a waiver after divorce is finalized. Is this a messy process? Option 2 start divorce in immediately and file for waiver i751 as divorced. Would my wife need to send in proof of a pending or finalized divorce? I imagine we would not be able to obtain the finalized paperwork until after her expiration date. I still want to help her obtain her 10 year green card. Any advice would be appreciated.

Good evening, friends. I m feeling a bit frustrated because I haven t been able to make progress on my permanent residency process. I m married to a U.S. citizen, and we have two children; one of them already has American citizenship. The issue is that I created my USCIS account with an email that I never verified on Google, so I couldn t recover access, and all important emails were being sent there. We ve already tried contacting USCIS, but it s been difficult to get a response since we are in Mexico. I found the best solution: to add my case to a new USCIS account with a different email, but to do so, I need my case number. With this simple number, I can access all the information and track the status of my application. Does anyone know the fastest way to obtain my case number?
