Uploading Relationship Evidence

So we sent in our I-485/I-765/I-131 packet back in May, and my husband completed his biometrics at the Orlando, FL field office in July, receiving his EAD shortly after that. Now we re in this endless wait for something to happen. Yet I ve seen some other K1 couples go straight to green card seemingly in 4 months without even an interview.

Here s my question: had anyone tried uploading evidence of their relationship (beyond what was required with the AOS packet) after the packet was sent off and did this make any difference in the progression of the case? I m thinking I could upload wedding photos now that we have them, joint bank account statements, insurance policy docs, etc. Appreciate any constructive thoughts. Thanks!

What Visa Would Be Best for Our Situation?

I am a US citizen. My fianc is a Colombia citizen. We live and work in Colombia. We have no intentions of moving to the United States as we both love living near our families here in Colombia. We simply would like to visit the United States for 1-2 weeks.

The issue:

My fianc applied for a tourist visa 2 years ago but was denied saying she had no ties to prevent her from staying in the USA. Which is not the reality because she genuinely wants to live and work in Colombia and live near her family.

K1 = This visa says we must get married and live in the USA (but again, we just want to visit)

IR1/CR1 = Even if we get married in Colombia this visa is still for the purpose of living in the USA and I would be afraid they would revoke the visa if we simply visit for 2 weeks and return to Colombia. Then they may never allow her to return to the USA. This would be the worst case scenario for us.

B2 = but the issue is that she was previously denied, the only difference is that she is now my fianc . I'm almost certain they would review the previous denial and reject again.

I'm positive that there are many people in our situation. Simply wanting to visit the USA and not live there. I realize that would be the tourist visa but with a prior denial aren't the chances very low that they will deny her again? Maybe simply showing proof of our relationship, jobs, and support while in the USA would change the outcome during this visa interview?

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully someone with prior experience can help answer this question for us.

My nephew's son is now 19yo. He was born in Germany. My nephew is a USC and now lives in the US. To file: Does he need the I-130 and I-131 only?

Parents never married. Nephew's son is in US as a visitor for 90 days and wants to legalize status. Does he have to leave while documents are in process?

Your help is appreciated.

Big problem..family member needs medication

So I don't know what the heck to do right now...and my wife and I are really frustrated with her mom and sister.

Long story short, my wife and I have an infant baby and we wanted her Mom, who lives in Colombia, to come stay with us for 6 months to care her while we are at work. She has been with us since June. Yesterday out of the blue she tells us that she is out of her cholesterol medication.

This is the thing that drives me crazy about her family. While they are great people and I love them, the lack of planning things out just frustrates me beyond belief. We have told them over and over again that when they come they should get some type of travel medical insurance, and they didn't. And before she came we were told by the mom and my wife's sister that yes, she has enough medication. Yet here we are....she doesn't fly home until Dec 3rd and she has no medication.

So we are in a desperate situation to get her the 'statin' medication she needs. And with a new baby, hospital bills, upcoming daycare costs, etc we don't exactly have extra money right now.

Has anyone dealt with anything like this before? Right now I am at work and my wife is supposed to be calling a local clinic that mostly serves latinos and immigrants, so we are starting there. But like I said, I was curious if anyone has been through anything like this. My big fear is that we are going to have to start from scratch. With NO insurance, having to setup a Dr appt, do a blood test, buy the meds, etc etc and I can't even imagine the cost.

Any advice or calming words would be much appreciated
