Hello everyone! Hope all of you are doing fine. USCIS recently approved our petition, and they also sent our case to NVC and we received the welcome letter three days later. As you can read in the title, we want to wait until we reached the 2 years married to get the IR1 instead of the CR1 (edited, I got confused, sorry) and obviously, save some money. Our 2 years anniversary is on June 2024. We have not started the process with NVC yet. How can we delay our process until next year? Thank you!

Hello visa journey family I have a question regarding the I-864A , does our co-signer need just his tax return or does it have to be an IRS tax transcript report? and for how many years back is required for our spousal visa? thank you all in advance. .

I am in the process of filling form N-400, I came across part 10, Question 9, they asked about previous spouse immigration status when marriage ended. My first husband was undocumented, I don t think that would be a problem but for some reason I feel uneasy answering this question, I am not sure what to write on the explain box , what would be the appropriate term? Ilegal Immigrant, Undocumented? Unlawful Resident? Has anyone else been in this situation? TIA.

Hi there, This seems like an obscure question. We were married in May of 2023 and my wife has been on a student visa several times here in the US. We filed for a change of status in June and she already has done her biometrics. Sadly, her father was just diagnosed with cancer in Colombia. It might be short and it might be long but it s terminal. With the wait times here seemingly endless (we have an attorney), is it even possible to get permission to leave and re-apply or shift her app to her home country of Colombia while caring for him? Are there any options others than starting over? thanks!
