Greetings, My name is Christian, the sponsor, and myself and my fianc e are both residents in Portugal at the moment, and have our NOA2, waiting for the NVC to have our case in the Consulate (Paris). Since we are both not from Portugal, and are outcourced to the Paris embassay, we are really wanting to make sure things go smooth....since we need to get documents from Brazil...and go then to France. COVID times make these all the more fun as everyone knows!! I apologize if this is answered somewhere else, I swear I have been looking! haha Questions: 1. How long must the birth-certificate be valid for? (For example, my fiancee has her official birth certificate from September of 2020, would this work...or is another needed?) 1.2 I looked here https://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=France&cty=Paris...but it only says the French one needs to be within 3-months 1.3: When it says ALL applicants birth certificates, it only means hers...they wouldn't need mine also, correct? 2. Does the I-134 have a valid-period? For example, I am going to need to ask my father for support, and would like for him the already have the document completed, before we are aware of the date of the interview. 3. I keep seeing things about translation...and languages valid at the embassy..I have seen that all things must be in French and/or English...but have also seen that it can be in Portuguese, French, or English. I don't think this will be too much of a problem...but just wondering if anyone knows? I sincerely appreciate the help! -Christian

Hello ALL! Just introducing ourselves to the community! Our plan is to follow Step-by-Step Guide on Filing an I-130 for a Spouse Inside the US. I ( usc ) have been married before to an Italian and have done this process before 8 years ago. I divorced in October. I remarried in April and we are ready to start the application process. My wife came to the us on a tourist visa and overstayed. she has been here about 7 years. she had a baby with her ex boyfriend and was stuck here with him until he left her and found someone else but promised to take care of her if she stayed. she had no choice but to stay cause she relied on him. I also have a child and we are living in the same building but cant yet afford to move to a bigger place with the kids. we will document our process and would love any help from this great community. B and P

Does anyone have information if USCIS are processing K1 visas for Brazil Petitioners? I've seen a lot of restrictions for Brazil due to Corona situation and not sure if they are moving forward with processing applications in Rio. Still waiting for noa2 in a couple of months but have read that even after the noa2 it could take a year. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, My wife and I are working on getting our son a US Passport. We have a passport appointment for him in a week, but we will be moving from our current address at the end of June, and doubt that his passport will be ready by then. Does the address on DS-11 for the applicant have to match the ID documents the parents provide to identify themselves? For us, these would be my US Passport and her Permanent Resident card. Or can we list the new address on the DS-11 and avoid the hassle of having to forward the US Passport from our old to our new address months later? Thanks!
