So recently I ve been to the DMV to get a learners permit and they said there was an error when they scanned my green card! I had my green card interview back in March and got my green card a few weeks later. They did not tell me much about the error but it was something like USCIS havent updated my status on their system. I believe I m still a K1 holder on their system when it should be as a permanent resident? I m so confused. How should I proceed?

Hey, I just need some guidance. I got a RFE about 1 month ago in the mail. I originally submited forms: - I-485 [Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (with corresponding evidence/documents)]
- I-693 [Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (with corresponding evidence/documents]
- I-864 [Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A if the INA (with corresponding evidence/documents]
- I-864A [Contract Between Sponsor and Household Memeber]
I submitted a I-864A to include my dad as the join-sponsor, since my latest tax return income didn't make above the Povery Guidlines. (I was in an internship) In the RFE letter, they are saying that they need me to fill out and send another I-864 with my joint sponsor info w/ evidence and then vaguely list a few deficencies that might have occured with my form. Nowhere is a I-864A mentioned. Why? I thought the purpose of a I-864A form was to include joint-sponsor info... but apparently they don't need this?

Hello everyone! I've been struggling in deciding between k1 and cr1, most of the comments are saying that cr1 is the best option. My problem is that to start cr1 process i have to marry my american boyfriend and his mom only allows him to marry me after meeting me, she also thinks the baby isn't his, we will do paternity test in November. I'm brazilian and I'm pregnant, my boyfriend's mom will be coming with him next year to visit me when the baby born, we decided to have the baby here in Brazil. All i want is to be with him as a family, since we're having a baby together, I'm scared of taking too long to be together as a family, is important for my boyfriend and the baby to have a connection and having to take care of the baby all by myself would probably be tiring as well. I saw that both process are kinda equal in terms of time. My question is, should i apply now for K1 or wait till next year to marry and apply for cr1?

Hello, Here is my situation: I came to US(Nov 2022) with J1 for Au Pair. I Au Pair'd until September when the orginzation terminated me early for not having a host family. They told me to leave the US as i will be out of status. The thing is, I am in a very serious relationship with my boyfriend of 7 months. We have been speaking about marriage and want to get married within the next 2 months now. My questions: Is it ok to be out of status from early termination with J1 visa, and then getting married a couple months of unlawful presence? Any other info or advice would be great. my BF is a US citizen, we have been dating 7 months, marriage is something we want, so i dont want to go back to my home country. No, i dont have a 2 year requirment or anything.

Hello everyone! I hope this message finds everyone well. Little background info: My wife and I (both US citizens) are looking to file for green card for her parents. They currently have tourist visas and are here in the US visiting us for a month and their current tourist visas are good for another 3 plus years. Our question is: 1) Should i wait for them to return to Brasil then file the form I-130? 2) Once i file for their Green card, Can tell travel back and forth to the USA with their tourist visa without impaction our petition for their green card? I seen somewhere that if one is currently waiting for one's petition to be approved, they cant leave their country before they have a decision on their case because it would be considered "abandoning the case"...... (this is the main/most important question for us) 3) Do i file a form i-130 for each of her parents or can i do them all together? Or which is better/safer? Thank you for your time! Jonathas & Laila
