Hello,

So as the title describes, my husband just switched jobs and he is making more money than he was before. He is American and will be the only one sponsoring me. For this form, there is nothing on the instructions saying that I need to add his past job, but I know that on the form I-130 has to have that info. He will start working at his new job in less than a week. We are planning on sending the paperwork next week.

What should I do? Include the info about him switching jobs on the I-864 or just leave that information on the I-130?

Thank you in advance!

It would be helpful if you filled out your profile and timeline so people know what process you’re doing as the answer is different for different processes.

Consular spousal visa cases  do not require I-864 with I-130 submission. It’s required after I-130 approval at the NVC stage (about a year after I-130 submission)

I am already in the United States, and we are filing the I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, I-765, and I-131. The idea is to send everything at the same time because we could get a chance to have everything processed quicker than waiting to file one at a time.

Then please update your timeline to get better help and post in the correct forum to get best answers. The forum you posted in is got Bringing family members of US citizens (other than spouses) to the US.

I have moved this topic to Adjustment of status from work/tourist/student visas.
