US Immigration from Australia

I received an RFE today, to provide the correct NZ police check (I submitted the wrong, but know how to fix it).

Having re-submitted the document into the CEAC portal, the "date uploaded" hasn't changed and still remains as the 28th April.

Just wondering how this RFE response will impact my timelines? Particularly I don't have a received document upload date.

The Petitioner is from Australia and when we submitted the I-129F we chose Melbourne as the US Embassy, since it was the closest to him. However, I recently read that Sydney is the only Embassy that processes K Visas. Will this mistake slow down getting an Interview scheduled if they are mailing around our case? Or, will the California Service Center just automatically send our case to Sydney? Thanks!

We're currently at the NVC stage, but our documents are due to be reviewed in the next 1-2 weeks, I've been googling endlessly to find out how long we'll be waiting for an interview date at the Sydney Consulate after we've been DQ'd. Hoping some of you could help with the following;

a) Is there a website that shows the wait time? (I know there is for non-immigrant visa interviews at the Sydney Consulate)

b) How quickly have people been moving from the DQ stage to having an interview set up in Sydney? (Particularly since the consulate has reopened).

c) Once we're DQ'd is it worthwhile ringing the Sydney Consulate greencard phone number to understand wait times? Or will they just give a stock standard response?

I m visit g my fianc in the USA while we wait for the K1 visa to go through. Question, can we get married and change the status to a bridging bisa while I m here and cancel the k1 visa?

this was not our intent to marry but I ve been her 2 months now and we ve heard nothing of our k1 visa being processed and it s been over a year since we submitted the paperwork.

Please give me your thoughts? Is this legal?would I then be able to stay and adjust status?

has this ever been done before? Thanks in advance.

I m a US citizen married to an Australian citizen, living in the US. He originally came here on K1, and we re now waiting for his 10 year green card. However, we are now expecting our first baby & are looking towards the future. We d like to go back to Australia by the time our bub is school-aged, because we feel Australian education is superior to what our child could obtain here in the US.

What does the process look like in reverse? I am getting the impression that he may need to move back ahead of me to re-establish home & income there, which is obviously not ideal with a child. Is there any way for me to come with him? I do realize that leaving the US will mean abandoning his future green card, but we are pretty set on this being the eventual path we want to take just not sure how far in advance we need to plan to start the process.
