just sent off my Medical repost to the CONSULATE in Sydney… it arrived half hour ago… so off went my passport….I hear it takes 10-15 days to be processed and returned…I’ll let you all know…in the mean time.. the K-1 and CR-1 VISA Process for Aussies group on Facebook Page is da bomb! It truly Has been amazing. Every one is so helpful and you get answers to any questions immediately. I don’t know what I would have done without them ❤️

K1 visa here…. time line so far…. I-129 application sent 6/6/21 We were DQ’d 20/12/2022 Email US consulate Received our approved application 13/1/23 DS-160 application sent and approved 26/2/23 and told We were on a wait list 27/2/23 interview scheduled for 14/3/23 Sydney Medical appointment 28/3/23 Medical Document presently in the mail being posted to me… That is where we are to date

We DQ’d December 2022 and after filling in the forms today got an email to say that we are “on a wait list until more appointments are available” for my interview in Sydney . How painful, as I’m in Melbourne☹️ Not sure how long the wait lists is....I didn’t really understand what a priority date meant when they asked me for a date, but ours is September. Does that mean they are trying to get the interview done by September? Also , can anyone tell me when I should be getting the police check and the medical? should I wait until I’m Given an interview date? not sure which way to go with this, thanks In Advance

Hi Ashley, I’m just wondering how you find out when your interview is! Do they email you or send you a letter through the post? Iv’e just paid my fees and am now waiting to receive my interview date. Do we need to get police check as well as medical before the interview? Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer my questions, Cheers.

I visited my Fiancé in the USA for just over 2 months in May this year, our application went in around May/ June 2021. We haven’t heard a word either, other than iour application has been received. we were I. The same boat as you, hadn’t seen each other for over 2 years….so he came to Australia for a month in April and then I flew back with him. I was not asked any questions because it’s not even in the system yet. All I was asked is are you here for work or holiday and ai said holiday and the stamped my passport for a 90 day stay! I have been to the USA 11 times and always leave before the 90 days so I guess they have my record which went in my favour I can only guess.

So what happens when we apply for the I-130 in regards to the ESTA visa I’m here on? What if it lapses? Will they grant me another visa until the i130 is processed?

I’m visit g my fiancé in the USA while we wait for the K1 visa to go through. Question, can we get married and change the status to a bridging bisa while I’m here and cancel the k1 visa? this was not our intent to marry but I’ve been her 2 months now and we’ve heard nothing of our k1 visa being processed and it’s been over a year since we submitted the paperwork. Please give me your thoughts? Is this legal?would I then be able to stay and adjust status? has this ever been done before? Thanks in advance. Lindii
