Hello everyone, I just noticed a very minor error in the copy that my civil surgeon gave to me of the form I-693. It's about the city of birth. Everything else is correct, country of birth is ARGENTINA, but in city of birth they put "ARG" instead of my city of birth. I'm sending my AOS package, and in every single form I put "Buenos Aires" as my city of birth, because it is. But I'm just wondering if this "ARG" error by the civil surgeon will cause any problems or an RFE (trying to avoid it as much as possible so my case doesn't get delayed). Should I contact the civil surgeon and ask to do the package again? if so, will they charge me something for it? Or it is an error that will most likely be understood by the uscis officer looking at my case? Thank in advance

Hello everyone, finally my USC wife and I are ready to send the AOS package, with the I-130, I-485, I-765, affidavit of support and medical exam. We were just wondering if the evidence that we have is considered enough or strong for USCIS to corroborate that our marriage is real. We currently have: - Joint lease agreement showing same residency - Joint renters insurance policy - Wife s retirement plan showing me as the only beneficiary. - Last statement of joint bank account with Bank of America + debit cards + recent movements on the account. - Authorized user on a Chase credit card + screenshot of expenses made with the card. - Additional user on power bill - A couple of sworn affidavits - Emergency contacts - Email, call and text history - Photographic evidence, A LOT (+15 pages), receipts of vacations and plane tickets. That's all we have right now. Filing taxes jointly was an option, but not worth it because we'd have to pay taxes on my foreign income (self employment taxes), and would make us owe to the IRS, when filing married separately would get us (her) a return of over $500. Thank you all

My husband is currently working, but he has been for almost 2 months without a paycheck because of an issue with a badge at work. Can that be a problem when we have to complete the Affidavit of Support? Should he mention that?

Hello, well I'm filing the Form I-130A (wife already filed the I-130), and in the part of employment history I have some questions... Before coming to the US I was self employed, working almost exclusively with one company, but in the end I was self employed. Then, 2 months ago I came to the US and of course haven't worked since. First question, in current employment, I have to put "unemployed" right? and the dates are since I came to the US to this day. Second question, before that, how do I fill my self employed phase? In Name of Employer do I put my name or I just put "Self-employed"? same with address. And in the "occupation" section, do I have to put what my work was? (I was a financial consultant). And lastly, I have had some unemployed months in the past 5 years, do I also have to put them in here? Thank you all so much!

Hi everyone, I m waiting for a K-1 visa interview at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires and my case status is READY. Does anyone know if they have recently released new interview appointments, or how long the wait has been lately? Any recent experiences would really help. Thank you!
