  1. Hey everyone, got a question, im filling out the I130 for my father now that i have naturalized. However when i looked at my birth certificate i noticed something i never noticed before. He is a pastor and for some reason on his name the wrote PASTOR JOHN DOE VILLAGE OF BIRTH PASTOR NATIONALITY His name however on his brith certificate is JOHN MIDDLENAME DOE (obviously john doe isn't his real name. is this going to be a problem when i submit my birth certificate or do i need to fix this on mine which in itself will be quite the undertaking but still doable.

  3. The funny thing is I didn't even think to check I just assumed that it would be at the Detroit office but thanks for that it looks like it's going to be in Holland I wonder if they take a while to try to find you something closer to where you live because Holland is definitely way closer than Detroit would be
  4. Hey so actually a few minutes ago I got the notification of my oath ceremony date being March 7th. And from everybody else that I've talked to that has had the same timeline as us with the i-751 and the n400 it looks like it does take a while for Detroit to schedule the actual oath ceremony I would anticipate getting yours within the next month for sure but if it takes longer than that just start calling them to see the update. But like yours my online showed interview scheduled for a month after I had already done the interview and was told that I passed. So I'm sure it'll come soon we just seem to have a very slower than normal field office
  5. Finally got my oath ceremony notice! March 7th glad the journey is in the final stretch!
  6. filing my N400 sped up my i751 massively. During my 3rd ADIT stamp appointment the IO suggested i file the N400 as in her words (my I751 was not going to go anywhere until i do, and that USCIS was waiting for me to file the N400) Took her advice and now my I751 was approved on Jan. 4th of this year, just waiting on an oath ceremony date. Detroit FO
  7. As someone who now has 3 of those stamps in their passport (originally filed i751 in 2018) i can say confidently that they do call back within the 30 day window if they dont give you a 72hr emergency one. Also if they dont call you back within the 30 days and you in turn call them. They no longer make you wait a further 30 days and instead give you a call within 72hrs
  8. i should add the odd thing is that people that interviewed a month after me in February have already been given oath ceremony dates for this month
  9. Had my joint i751 + N400 interview back on Dec 5th. I was told I passed n400 and would receive an oath ceremony pending i751(divorce waiver) on January 3rd n400 status changed to recommended for naturalization submitted for quality review. And then changed same day to the oath ceremony will be scheduled. Jan 4th i751 changed to case was approved. Now I've been waiting for an oath ceremony for over a month with no details from USCIS on when that'll be. Detroit FO. My ADIT stamp expires in April and I'm planning to leave the country in April for about two months, so I fear not getting a passport in time if I have to wait much longer. My questions are is it still too early to involve a congressman to get my oath ceremony scheduled? Is this much of a wait time normal? Is there any other option to get scheduled? Edit: Ive come across a few people that interviewed a month after me this February in the same situation, that already have their oath ceremony dates for this month. And i find it odd that i have not yet gotten mine.
  10. Did you manage to find the letter in the documents tab and did it have an oath date?
  11. Yes the call came directly from USCIS it was an unknown number so I'm just lucky I picked up
  12. fellow Detroit filler here. i had my interview Dec 5th it was joint with i751, also go the for N652 saying it was recommended for approval. on Jan 3rd my status changed to oath ceremony will be scheduled. Still waiting for the actual oath ceremony date to be scheduled. so your not alone. as others have said you have passed, Detroit is just really slow from what ive been seeing. We will get there soon enough.
