  1. Ok, so her ceremony started by 9am and ended 30 minutes later. But if I may ask, was 9am the time written on her invitation?
  2. Oh wow, I asked because I was scheduled for 1:30pm however I have a job interview for 4pm which is a 30 minutes drive from Plano
  3. If I were the one, I wouldn't request a name change during the interview. However once I get the naturalization certificate, I will request they use my hubby lastname when applying for passport, they will need my marriage certificate (also translated in English). However, that's me. Your wife can choose a different route, and that's perfectly fine.
  4. I've seen comments from people here who said they experienced delay when they requested name change during the interview. But if you still want to go ahead and request a name change, that's perfectly fine. No extra documentation will be requested of you. However, expect a slight delay in getting your certificate....my opinion. I might be wrong. And the lady is right, changing your last name is very easy. You don't even need USCIS to do it for you. Your marriage certificate has already done it! And if you want your driver's license and SSN to reflect your desired last name, just communicate with DMV and SSA directly, the only document they will request for is your marriage certificate.
  5. I have heard of situations where a petitioner had to wait for months after the citizenship interview just because she told the case officer that she wants to do a name change. Name change based on marriage is pretty easy, you don't need USCIS to do it. Once you get your naturalization certificate, request for a change name with the DMV and the SSA. Once that is done, you can then apply for citizenship passport with your changed name. But this is just my opinion. There might be a superior recommendation to mine.
  6. Congrats. I don't think they want you to print out a copy what you uploaded online. They rather want the original. So for instance, if you uploaded your Birth Certificate, they will need you to come with the original for the interview. Regarding Name Change, I will advice you wait till after you get the citizenship before you do the name change.
  7. Hi, We intend filling the N-400 online and intend using Credit Card to make payment. However I saw somewhere that we will need to download and fill out the G-1450 form and attach ON TOP of the N-400 form before submitting. That doesn't sound online to me. So my question is: is it possible to fill the N-400 form online and make payments via credit card online? If yes, how do we fill and submit the G-1450 form? Thanks.
  8. When did he file for the i751 and the N400 and when did he get the update about moving of case file? I'm a Nov 2011 filler and I'm contemplating whether to go ahead and file N400 or wait on i751 approval. What's your opinion?
  9. I just want to know the pros and cons so I can make an informed decision.
  10. So based on this, would you advice against combo application?
  11. Based on this, would you say it's best to hold off on applying for N400 until the conditions on the greencard is removed?
