I'm excited that as a teacher I make enough money for something! Yay! I can officially sponsor my fiance (ok, I knew I could, but still...it's a nice feeling).

Well, I did my BA and then my MA all at once, so in total it took me 6 1/2 years (with a summer study abroad). You should be able, for preschool, if you have a BA, to get into a certification program that will allow you to work as an Occupational Therapist while getting your teaching cert. I'm not sure about preschool, you may have to do Early Childhood Education. Check with the Superintendent of Education website for your state and it will list the requirements as well as schools that you can go to. Good luck :)

I love teaching. I know I'll never make a ton of money in it, as is evidenced by the fact that I will pay student loans forever and I've been teaching for 8 years...hee hee.. but it's worth it.

Sorry Cap'n, for hijacking your thread :)
