NOA2 received at NVC

Hi everyone,

We got our NOA2 with Notice Date Feb. 12 and I called the NVC this morning and they said that they received it Feb. 11.

I asked the girl at the NVC when it will be forwarded at the USEM but she said she don't know. Do they assign a case number once they received K1 NOA2 from USCIS? I looked at the Time Frames of some of the members here and I noticed that it only took like few days, a week or two weeks till their case were forwarded to the USEM. It's going 3 weeks now since the USCIS forwarded our case with them.

It normally takes about a week as far as I am aware - you can try tracking your case from NVC if it has left there - you can find out if it has been sent to the embassy and on what date by calling the DOS or NVC Instructions (That I pinched from... I think rouguewave..?) are attached

That DHL trick actually works... I tried it and came across all the petitions that NVC sent out to the embassies today, 3/3/08.

That's don't change or touch any other fields.

There were 77 shipped today, 2 on Saturday. I'm sure if this helps anybody, but I created an aphabetized list using Excel.

I appreciate your help. I got an email from the NVC today and they said that our petition has already entered into their computer system and assigned the case number as well. And they will send a notice when they forwarded it to the USEM. I think there are lots of applicants that made it slow.

I have a question about their email though. There's one line there that says:

Your Priority Date: 23April2007

What does it mean? And why it's 2007?

I don't know for sure, but that looks like a typo to me. I think that may be the latest your file will reach the embassy.

Btw, when did you receive your NOA2? How many days after that did NVC email you?

Try to send email at NVC (NVCInquiry@state.gov.) They will answer you back after 10 days. Sometimes it's clearer for me to keep in touch with them through emails rather than by calling them. At least we're sure that they already assigned us a case number while waiting to forward it at USEM.

I typed in EXP 14 MAR 2008 A into the Reference field to see today's shipments.

I tried with 13 instead too just to see if today's weren't in there yet but that doesn't work either.

Also tried without the A after the year.

What am I doing wrong?

CBR, leave out the space between the 2008 and A. Also, the ones with the number EXP 13 MAR 2008A will have a shipped date of today. I'm not sure why that is, but they are all like that. What I think happens is the EXP # uses the date NVC packed it up to ship while the shipped date is the date DHL actually puts it on the plane. That is speculation, but for whatever reason, the latest date you can use is EXP 13 MAR 2008A (as of today, March 14th). Did you call NVC? Looking at your timeline, I think it's more likely they shipped it last week or early this week.

It worked for me when I put in 03/13/08 into the start date.

I just called today to see if they had by chance received my NOA2 already, but since I did not have a letter, the dude was kind of hostile to me.
