Hello, I'm at the point in my K1 journey where my fiance needs me (the petitioner) to fill out form I-134. The instructions in that form ask me to provide evidence of my finances, which is not a big deal at first, but my main financial institution is having a really hard time trying to fulfill this request of evidence.

I've given them the exact instruction from the I-134 instructions:
"File evidence of income and resources, as appropriate:
1. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions with deposits, identifying the following details
regarding the account:
A. Date account opened;
B. Total amount deposited for the past year; and
C. Present balance."

For the last threes weeks, the update I've requested weekly from an agent at my financial institution is "we're reaching out to our higher ups to figure out how to provide this information."

I'm wondering if current petitioners filling this form out or past petitioners that have, also had a hard time with this?

Just curious if anyone here has filed recently using the new online form? Is it easy to submit all the evidence as .pdf files?

My husband can file after March 1st but I hadn't seen anyone start a thread for Jan or Feb of this year with any details or experiences.

ok i m back again. going to officially start the process of sponsoring my mom to come to US from DR. I see mixed reviews of i130 and i130a. what is the i130a and is it necessary? Second thing is her current name is the exact same that s on her passport, cedula and my birth certificate that shows she s my mom. however she was married and since divorced for a time in between. does that affect things and when do i have to prove that? Lastly, for translations of documents what s the best and easiest way to do that? Thanks!!!

USCIS has issued a new Edition of Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions today. This happened with no announcement or grace period that I can find. The new form edition date is 02/06/26. If you are getting ready to file using a credit card for your fee, make sure you have the latest edition of the form.

I filed an I-130 (IR-1/CR-1) for my spouse. My application was received/processed on January 21, 2026, and I received a NOA dated January 26, 2026. I'm looking for January 2026 filers (IR-1/CR-1) to help us in the immigration process. luckily, my spouse is with me in the United States while her asylum case is pending. I hired an attorney who will represent us during the immigration proceedings and throughout the process.
I've read a lot about the process and what to expect in the coming months and years.
