I used to work with a guy who had perma-skank breath. It was a medical condition, I believe. I felt kind of bad for him. It was horrible though. I told him that I was gonna catch the cat that shyt in his mouth every night. Jokingly of course.

How sad for this guy. It must be awfully embarrassing for him. I'm glad someone out there is looking for answers, and that people aren't just left to their own devices. If it's a medical condition we need to be more attuned to this and not be so critical, thinking perhaps the person is "dirty" or didn't brush their teeth or something.

Oooh, but I love all these!

For example, certain foods tend to cause bad breath, like milk, garlic and onions.

Halitosis is an advertising term from the 40s or 50s, isn't it? A term to make anti-bad-breath products more marketable? I'm pretty sure it's not scientific.

I doubt it -- according to several dictionaries, the term was coined in 1870–75:

Random House Unabridged Dictionary: 1870–75

Online Etymology Dictionary: 1874

Do you also floss-a-floss-a-floss?

yup...and swish-a-swish with a mouthwash.

I don't think it stinks...hubster doesn't recoil away holding his nose closed or anything...it's just that icky morning breath feeling.

I mean, do you wake up with minty breath?
