Darn! You got me!

I confess. I am not really Craig's Mom. hehe I just think I am funny.

I'm mostly a lurker that joined in order to go on a rant about this guy. Finally, I decided to sum it up with my little joke, changing my display name to "Craig's Mom."

In a nutshell, this guy is a dope! The first time this happened I felt bad for him. The second time when it happened, I was a little suspicious. Now, it is obvious he is a clown/drama boy like gogo. I will make a prediciton: He will wonder why she doesn't respect him, and you know what? We all know the answer, but him. At his age and acting like this, their marriage is doomed to faliure.

I hope he is retired Navy because we definitely don't need a guy like him calling the shots for everyone serving our country. "Fire! Oh wait, I called my sisters... don't fire! Oppsss fire!!! Sorry I got your son killed in battle. You can spank me if you want."

Twice he created a thread accusing his wife of marring him to obtain a US visa and suggested that she was unfaithful. That's not a mistake-it's erratic behavior which I see as destructive and not helpful to anyone. Again I say, either his wife does have ill intentions or Craig is controlling and mentally abusive. I think under those circumstances people have shown restraint.

Perhaps, I have been on too many boards (unrelated to immigration ) where there has been relentless insults and flame wars that a mere uncomplimentary comment doesn't strike me as being abusive.

I'm very skeptical of the marriage itself if they don't really know one another well (which they don't) or that a mere weekend together could overcome all of the distrust that's been demonstrated. It seems like this is about what feels good at the moment as opposed to what a marriage is supposed to be made of. Marrying someone you don't know or trust is stupid. Staying with them after they told you what you want to hear over a weekend and then blaming everyone else for your problems is just as stupid. How many ways can one person put their head into the sand? If you don't know one another you can't possibly fathom the person's motives. Trust takes time to develop and when someone repeatedly lies, there is no basis for trust and therefore there is no basis for marriage.

To me, this is just a sad, desperate story. I'm just not sure who is more sad or who is more desperate.

If you felt that strong to make a post about your ill feelings with your wife, I think you should take a couple more trips to see your wife, before you bring her to the US to live with you, the results could be devastating. Really find out if you two are together for the right reasons. In a relationship people should want to be together by choice, not what someone can do for them. I wish you the best of luck.

My suggestion is to not post further arguments with her on VJ , confide in a friend or get counseling. The ridicule on VJ can get very insulting

with the usual crowd showing off like clowns for a cheap laugh, even when nothing is funny.
