Glad its all working out!!! Hope u get over ur fear of flying. Im missing my Air force days on the P3C. Flying at 100 ft over the ocean at times. The good old days!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

WooHoo!!! Go Misty! I'm so glad things are coming together for you. :) Are you feeling any better?

Maybe your MIL will join you for a drink or ten :innocent:

That sounds all nice and dandy, however my MIL is eccentric enough when she's sober. Mix together 10 or so drinks, 5 hours straight on a plane together, and I'm positive without a doubt I'll be begging the airline attendants to just let me jump lol.

Nah, she's not that bad really, I'm just a whiner. I'll play it on the safe side though, and bring a parachute just in case :P

It's coming together!!!

FINALLY today, we made some progress with our new I-864 package. The house appraisal came in, and instead of the house being worth $80-90k like we thought, it was up at $110k :)

We stopped at the courthouse and got a certified copy of the deed for the house, so that takes care of that.

My MIL has received her updated bank statements now, and things are looking well in that department. All that's left now is filling out the I-864 for both my MIL and my husband, which after all we've done so far, will be a piece of cake I'm sure ;)

We also have an extra tax assessment (thanks to IR5FORMUMSIE's skillz) along with an extra property deed just incase they want to see more assets, even though we are well above the line.

My last dilemma is how the heck I'm going to manage to drink myself silly enough to be able to set foot on the plane without my MIL noticing my new-found tippsiness. You'd think after 1 1/2 years of travelling back and forth from BC to NC I'd have kicked the phobia, but it's still here, and this time I'm going to have company on the plane, so drinking myself to the brink of unconsciousness is no longer an option :P

Yaaaay!! Congratulations Misty! I find Gravol works great. ;)
