Normally I go out and cut down one at the local tree farm.. one of the wonderful things about living in Oregon. Two years ago.. daughter .. fell in love with a fake WHITE tree... .. with the purple lights.. ohhh.. looks pretty..

but.. this year... I am going to go to this thing the radio station is going to do.. it is called the .. THE TREE PEE

The idea is simple: Bring your dog (all sizes, shapes and ages are welcome), let them loose in the "Buzz Forest" and if they can let loose on a tree within 1 minute and 5 seconds - you get to take home a tree of your own!

Since my Little MIN PIN.. has a bit of the little man syndrome... he like to mark his territory on everything hahah.. I dont think he will have any trouble peeing in the minute required.. haha..

Sooo it will start at 10am.. but I think my daughter and myself will head on over about 7am... set up our chairs.. and wait in line.. if it is tooo cold.. we will keep our chairs in the spot ... and wait in the car hahahah..

will let you know if we get anything...

I got one at Bed, Bath and Beyond....they were on sale, so I decided I'd have one for me and D in my room.....4ft fiber optic jobber, $10 :D

He'll be decorating it via webcam with me this upcoming Monday. Then I'l help him virtually decorate his. I have collected ornaments from all of our travels, so it's special cos it's our tree here in FL with things that we both have memories attached to. Like this one particular ornament from Dublin that I've bought thrice ( heh love that word)...and everytime we flew home, I broke it.

I'm going to make some piccie ornaments of us as well...

We'll have some wine and some Christmas music...I'll even put on a Santa-inspired outfit  Maybe I'll sing 'Santa baby' as well!

People who murder trees for their own enjoyment make me sick.

I enjoy the smell of a bloody corpse.... Is it okay if I grab a person off of the street, kill them, and prop them up in my living room? Why not? I like trees more than I like people....

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Wow , that is cheap!!

We just drop by at the tree farm this morning and the cheapest is $40.. we just have to come back on Saturday to get one . ..but if its that cheap in Menard's we just go there.. ..saves bucks to get more ornaments yay!!

** look online if there is a Menard's in our area **

I had a real tree once....my ex was big on real trees.....my dad helped me and my ex pick it out. It had roots on the bottom, and my dad planted it in a 5 gallon bucket of dirt...I kept the soil moist, and when I was done with it, my dad took it and replanted it.

It was green and lovely the day it left my house. But way too much chew and I prefer the fakes anyway!

No.

for my brother platy:

The Tree

The calm quiet strength of a tree

Anchored deep in the earth

Reaching high in the sky

The calm quiet strength of a tree

The calm quiet strength of a tree

Full of life from its roots

To the tiniest branch

The calm quiet strength of a tree

And oh, how it comforts me

How it teaches me

Without a sound

Then I realize at once

That this tree and I are one

In eternity

The calm quiet strength of a tree

From the weight of its trunk

To its delicate leaves

The calm quiet strength of a tree

The calm quiet strength of a tree

Showing anyone near

All the secrets of time

The calm quiet strength of a tree

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

We have a fake one. Neither hubby or I approve of Tree-Murder. Either buy a fake one or one with roots so that you can plant it outside afterwards.

Oh and Charles, we have 5 cats, and we still put up a tree. They tend to play under it, but never climb up it and pull it over. Saying that, I reckon Billy-Cat will do just this now I've said this!

fishing line from the trunk (about 2/3 the way up) secured at two opposing structural places helps keep things stable too. You can also do this at two different places on the tree (4 structural anchors) for the really determined felines. Also ... no low hanging balls .. err ... you know what I mean ...

Yup, definitely no low hanging balls. Could get rather awkward. Oh and the ornaments will be high up too.

I got my tree for $10 off of craigslist last year... looked pretty good too! I used to want a real tree, but they do make a mess, they can be pretty expensive, and it seems silly to cut down a tree that took years to grow just for one month of Christmas time... We always had a fake one growing up.

This is most definitely the correct motorcycle.

Artic circle, $3000

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt
