may i know when is the poverty line/threshold for 2008 will be released? i might be interviewed by january 2008, i'm worried if we will meet the requirement then.

Those are 2007 guidelines.

I care less that that site says 2008.

USCIS MPG 2008 doesn't come out until early next year.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

6/21/07 - I-129F Sent : transferred to CSC at some point...

7/12/07 - Received date as shown on NOA1 Hardcopy

7/18/07 - NOA1

7/21/07 - Check FINALLY Cashed!!!

7/24/07 - Finally got receipt number off the back of cancelled check!

11/23/07 - Our first ever touch!

11/27/07 - Touched on website

11/28/07 - NOA2!!!!!!!!

I-129f was approved in 160 days from your filing date.

12/21/07 - Received at NVC and assigned case number!

12/27/07 - Case forwarded to USEM

01/04/07 - Case received by USEM

02/25/08 - Scheduled St. Luke's Medical Appointment 7:00 AM

03/03/08 - Interview at USEM APPROVED

ooopppsss! i saw from then I-864P of uscis that the 2007 Poverty Guidelines can be used up to Spring of 2008. So, I believe, we are fine!

Noticing that you have received a case number from NVC. How did you get this number, was it sent or posted? THANKS

You can call NVC after they've received your NOA2 and ask them for it. Or you can wait until NVC sends a letter home to you. Good Luck! :thumbs:

The paragraph below was taken for the U.S. Department of States web site.

"On January 24, 2007, the Department of Health and Human Services, published its annual update of the Poverty Guidelines, taking into account increases in prices as measured by the Consumer Price Index. On March 1, posts must begin using these new guidelines in calculating levels of income and assets that immigrant visa petitioners and joint sponsors must demonstrate in their I-864 Affidavits of Support."

Since the guidelines did not take effect until March 1 last year you might be able to assume that the same would be true this year.

01-25-2007. NOA2

02-12-2007. NVC notification saying petition is approved.

05-11-2007. Packet 3 received.

05-14-2007. Packet 3 forms sent.

06-16-2007. Packet 4 received.
