I just got an email from someone and it said: "Take a look at this" it was from someone at the hilton to david's bridal, and and in the email was a spreadsheet with MY personal information, and the information of other people.

#######???

I HATE THESE PEOPLE! HATE THEM!!!!

I don't even know what to do anymore. First a bad all around experience and now my information is out there for all to see! Where I live and everything. My first and last name!

It wasn't junkmail...it was a spreadsheet with all of my information including my wedding date, as well as OTHER people and their wedding dates and a whole bunch of stuff.

When I thought I was going to use the WAL MART of bridal stores, yes I gave them information because usually when you buy something as expensive as a dress, you feel confident giving this information not thinking they will do something like this.

This spreadsheet has my full name, my address, my wedding date.

And it goes in alphabetical order and has other women's information as well.

Thats a really serious breach of confidentiality?

In my experience ( i have only worked in UK but suspect the regulations are similar) this could be considered a breach of data protection and has serious consequences for the people involved with protecting the information?

perhaps some one with more knowledge can confirm and offer advice .

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I didn't dig it up. It was sent to me by email. Someone from David's Bridal emailed it to me, but I don't think the email was meant for my eyes. God knows who else got this email too!

It was titled David's Bridal, and inside said: "Please open and take a look" and the spreadsheet was titled: Davids Bridal Leads.

I think it was someone from Davids bridal giving our information to the Hilton...something the also distinctly said they WOULD NOT DO.

I find this all very funny because the other day I got a letter from the Hilton saying they work with Davids Bridal. I had an awful experience at this store and I made it known, you'd think they would take me off of their list.

Anyways I am in contact with the local papers. They're messing the wrong bride.

Well apparently I have a case against them. I dont want to file a huge lawsuit or anything, I just want my name off of their database and I never want to be contacted by them or anyone affiliated with them EVER again.

These people are really STUPID!

I just got an email from the lady at the hilton...

"Please disregard the previous message which was sent in error.

Take a look at Doubletree Guest Suites Mt. Laurel at www.mtla..."

And thats it. No "We are extremely sorry, I can assure you, no one else got this email with your personal information"

Nothing, just "Disregard, now look at our products"

I am so MAD AT THESE PEOPLE!

Also maybe you should let Hilton AND David's Bridal know that you will never use their services and that you will let every bride you know aware of this. I wonder if the other women on the list got emails too?

It's things like this that reinforce my desire to do this myself without the cookie cutter places to "help."

I am in contact with a local newspaper about this. I am enraged.

It's like these guys are robots and just dont get it.

My initial experience was awful, I wanted to forget about them. Then they screw up and send me a spreadsheet with the personal info of their customers. Then when I call them out they say: "Oh oops, plz pretend you didn't see that and book some rooms with us"

I didn't realize they would give my information away...most places have dignity and don't sell or give your information away to other companies.
