The guides are very helpful in what to expect for both the I130 & I129F routes. If you are indeed going for the I130 you may want to search for the shortcuts (James's Shortcuts, if I remember correctly) that can knock quite a bit of time off the I130 wait at NVC

It looks like we had been approved on Oct 30th but just found out about it today thru snail mail . As of 11/05/07, USCIS online status still shows pending for both I0130/K3...

So, apparently from what little I know, I just got upgraded from one waiting queue to another waiting queue... But this is supposed to be little lesser in terms of wait... lol .. We shall see...

Anyhow, just wanted to let e'one know about my NOA2 and wish all of us a very good luck and quick transfer to NVC to respective embassies...

Yeah, unfortunately there will be no race for us, we will be going K3. I know we finished this discussion in the May/June filers thread.... Good luck!

Did the NOA2 for the I130 say they were transferring it to NVC (asking based on your signature). If so, then you are into the CR1 process. You can designate your USC husband as your choice of agent using DS-3032 (this can be done via email) so that he will receive the IV fee bill and AOS fee bill and can pay them for you. Otherwise, you will have to deal with international mailings (which are at least slower than domestic US mail, and at the worst altogether unreliable). If you used a lawyer, then the lawyer will be the agent automatically and get all the mailings.

If your I129F is approved and forwarded to NVC, your husband will get a notice that they received and forwarded it to the embassy with the case number. From there, you would be getting the packet of instructions and forms on applying for the K3.

Urge... let me get it right... after approval and NOA2 received in mail... do we have to do anything? Or just wait for NVC to send us something? When do we send affidavit of support? When and where do we send... and what !? i'm so confused

I have very good news. I just called the NVC and they sent the documents to the Consulate yesterday, so I am looking at a maximum of one month of waiting to finally be with my husband. I am so happy Thank to to the Lord.

Today I'm feeling really fidgity and can't help thinking about the delay in paperwork arriving at the NVC. I want to ask Josh to start phoning but I promised myself I wouldn't do that until our petition reaches 4 weeks after approval (we're at 14 days currently).

So to try and make myself a little more patient, I have been ooking at G&As chart and there are at least a few people who are getting close to the "1 month from NOA2 received" date (7ub6686, Jason&Marla, Waitingforwifey etc)

Have any of you attempted to phone the NVC? Have you had any luck at all getting an answer from them?

There hasn't been an NVC receipt from the CSC on the list since 6th October and we must be due one

According to NVC our case has been fowarded to Rio de Janeiro Consulate last wednesday !

My husband called them yesterday !

Called NVC this morning. They have our case. Not sent out to consulate yet, received and entered into system yesterday!!

I just called NVC and our petition has been sent/reached the Mumbai consulate on November 7th and I was able to get my "BMB" (consulate trackign #?) from the NVC operator.

Both our petitions were approved on Oct 24th, so maybe they are back to the 2 week time frame or we just got lucky. I know bunch of us got approvals in those 2-3 days so i would urge them all to call NVC.

Guess I better add myself to this thread now....I'll check in two weeks on Tuesday morning to see if NVC has received our petition....hopefully the approvals at CSC also jump-started a trend at NVC!

Josh just phoned the NVC and spoke to a rather rude guy who only seemed interested in making Josh read the "it takes 90 days" part of the NOA2 to him

So no luck on NVC receiving our file today... i'm hoping it'll be in their system by the middle of next week... othwise i'll resign myself to the fact that ours will be in the nexr trailer
