My fiancé and I sent our petition I-129F to USCIS on the 9 April 2007 and their records showed a receipt date of 23 April. USCIS did not send us a letter of receipt and I had to call them in order to get our receipt number. They should have sent us a letter of receipt four weeks after they received and processed our application. We received a RFE for more proof of relationship 13 August and we mailed the proof off the following day. USCIS did not file our proof until 27 August and our petition was approved 4 1/2 months from their first recite of our petition. We received our I-797C 17 September and are waiting for the NVC to proceed with their job. I called the NVC one month after receiving our I-797C, but the NVC operator said it could take up to 60 days to process. We are waiting now. I sent an email a day later with no answer as of yet.

It has now been 6 months since we had our petition first processed. It has been a long, hard, six months and we are staying very patent and as calm as possible. We do not like to talk about the USCIS or the NVC or I will start going ballistic. I am learning to keep my cool. My fiance and I had been together for 2 years before we filed for a fiance visa and she was here at the time but her other visa was expiring and so it is that we are separated. I believe this is the hardest process I have ever been through.

Good luck to us all,

Yeah I have been waiting for ein bisschen over 6 months to get approval for my I-130 for my german husband. Im pretty ticked of too with the California Service Center. They told me to wait another 30 days from my six month mark to even make an inquiry. But hang in there. Hopefully soon you will hear something. Someone in a different thread stated that they received an approval in the mail without any current touches in the USCIS site and even email. So hopefully our petitions are already at NVC. :luv:

So, it took 5&1/2 weeks for them to send our petition to Frankfurt, but it's on its way. I called them a few times before I found someone nice enough to take the time to find out where and when my petition was. I hope this helps anyone waiting. Be a squeaky wheel and you will get some attention or information to help your nerves.

Our is stuck at NVC also but we changed the embassy from Frankfurt to Zagreb. First we called every day in order for that to be changed. Finally they changed it on October 22 and send the letter with the same date that our petition will be forwarded to Zagreb within a week. Of course it didn't happed. We call every day in order to try to get some info and it's a hard job!

Thanks for the story, sorry it's taking so long, but be patient, you know it will be worth the wait. Not everyone has the privilege of having their relationship tested like this before they get married (one way to look at it). You should almost be done!
