Sure didn't. I meant we don't eat a lot of fast food or processed foods.

Yeah but even with our meat and vegatables here they have hormones in them. Either they feed hormones to the animals to make them bigger or they put hormones on the crops to make them bigger and then feed that to the animals.

Sure, but you can eat organically.

Most people are getting fat over HFCS being in eveything, & GIANT portions, simple as that. It's not the hormones' fault!

my husband is also thin, for jeans and what not we tend to buy euro brands can be a bit pricier but they fit and he doesn't have to suffer through the "boys dept" he also prefers the baggier look which is fine except for dress clothes.

It is hard. Americans like giant oversized clothes (likely to hide their fat).

That's an awfully broad stereotype and kind of rude too, imho. It seems that to call out other people for making comments you find rude is hypocritical if you're going to turn around and make similar stereotypes. Perhaps it wasn't meant to be rude and perhaps you don't see that it could be a stereotype, but the same could be said for anything.

In fact, the people I see wearing giant oversized clothes are teenager boys who think it's like totes sexy to belt your pants below your bum. The girls barely keep themselves covered.

I second Kohl's as a great place to find age appropriate clothes for smaller sized men.

It's funny you say this because I am a size 2 and I'm short. I can never find size 2 pants in Old Navy and Gap short enough for me. I'm always in the store screaming, "Do they think all size 2 people are tall?!?!" Apparently they think all size 2 people are of average height. Because the pants are too long for me but too short for you. You might want to try American Eagle for pants. I usually do a pretty good job of finding pants there. They have short, average, and tall sizes. I like their pants pretty good too.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

they're not too short for me, they're my height if i'm barefeet or wearing low heels, tennis shoes, etc. But I like to wear high heels and then they look short when I wear heels. And you don't have a problem, you can have them shortened, I can't have them fixed to be longer.

In Brazil usually they make them way too long and you get it fixed. They don't have options like that R (regular), L (long). But then again, some stores fix for you and if you have to pay to get them fixed it's not too expensive and there's lots of places to have it done.

I work for Old Navy, which is owned by Gap, Inc. I don't know what the problem is of your old Navy stores. Our longs and shorts start at size 2 and go up from there. And, we always carry them.

BTW....it is always lovely when a customer is in the store screaming at us about the sizes and whatnot, like we, the employees, can do anything about it. Makes me LOVE to help accomadate them.

well I can never find them. it's like they only put 1 size 2 in the shelves and it's sold in 5 min. Every time I go there I can find 1 size 0 or 1 size 2 or 1 size 4, then size 10, 12, i can find tons of them.

That's one of the things I dislike about the stores here. In Brazil I'd see a pair of pants I like and ask for a salesperson to go get my size. Here I have to be lucky to find what I want.

I never scream at sales people, btw :P

I don't actually scream at the employees. I've worked in customer service my whole life so I know it's not their fault. I just scream it at Javi and my mom since that's who I'm normally shopping with. I also live in a college town so figure that's why I have a hard time finding the right size. If I go to other Old Navy's I don't have that problem. So I usually end up driving over an hour to get pants when we have the store right in town.

Nessa: It may not seem like a big deal to you since you say I can get them shortened. But the way I look at it, if I am spending upwards of $30 on pants, they should fit when I buy them. I shouldn't have to pay to have them altered. I have done that, but prefer not too. It's just as frustrating for me to try pants on and them be too long as it is for you to try them on and them not be long enough for the shoes you prefer to wear with them. And like I said before, if I wanted to wear high heels with mine, I could buy the longer length pants. But I don't always want to wear heels with my blue jeans. Sometimes I just want to wear sandals, flip flops, or tennis shoes and they are too long if I don't buy the short length.

I understand. Maybe I don't see a big deal with having them altered because I've done that all my life. All I worry about when I buy pants is if it looks good on my butt, if they'll be comfortable, if I'll be able to eat while wearing them, if on my period (when I get bloated and 5lbs heavier) I'll be able to zip them up, and if I'll be able to wear high heels, altering or not.

My hubby sometimes finds stuff in the boys section. And Express for Men carries smaller sizes. H&M has small (fitted) sizes too.

Yeah, this seems to be a trend. Which sucks when you aren't actually fat and don't want to wear big baggy clothes. I have a hard time finding clothes that fit me. I sometimes end up in the little girls section buying size 14 or 16. It's very frustrating.

How tall are you? I associate the big baggy trend with male clothing, but haven't seen much in the way of baggy clothing in women's styles lately. Express or the Limited tends to have narrower, fitted clothing. (Though not the best quality stuff.)
