But dean is correct... ppl here can distinguish the issues of immigration that this country has... some though I have seen tend to be to close to subject to look at it objectively.. instead of subjectively.

NO one on this thread was attacking or bashing anyone, read it again, twice over if need be, the statement also about PR and mexico is a statement that PR isnt illegally forcing themselves in OUR country, then demanding ####### that isnt legal for them in the first place.

Plus this thread was for the topic, hence the fact i wrote the topic as it was.

May/25th 2006- Green card arrives in the mail................YAY!!

19th June 2006 I Had to go to the Social Security Office to get my number, the DS-230 didnt work for me!!

26-June-2006- Social Security# arrived in the mail....YAY!!

Feb 2008 lift conditions <<<reminder to self!!<<<< went to England for a visit instead, no rush right, 90 days is a long time,LOL

Removing Conditions Begins

Mailed I-751 April 12th 2008

signed for @ NSC April 16th

NOA date April 16th

Conditional GC expired May 5th 2008

Biometrics Detroit May 10th 2008

10 year Green card ordered August 20th 2008

Citizenship any time from feb 2009

I'll repost (riposte?) my solution: Basically it's all semantics. We have a problem with "illegal immigrants"? Why not just call them "pilgrims"? Then we can even make a holiday for them, and all! Problem solved. You're welcome.

I was talking to my dad about this issue last night, and he brought up something that I hadn't thought of, but seems all too relevant, historically speaking. He was saying how he is worried for the safety of his Mexican friends (mostly US citizens). You don't have to look far even in a place like VJ to see that this issue has caused no small amount of hysteria around itself. How long before the rhetoric matures into a "all the country's problems are the fault of (mexicans)"? Before you laugh it off and say it couldn't happen here, remember that it already has, both here and other countries, all the time. I wonder what people think about this, if I can butt into the slangin for a minute.
