Something bizarre happened this morning

I just wanted to share this with everyone because I thought it was very bizarre. This morning my mom came over for breakfast because she has been on vacation and she pulls into our driveway and there is a guy laying in our yard asleep. His car broke in half our brick mailbox and he lefthis car inthe yard as well. Well I never open the blinds or go outside until I'm leaving for the day so I had no clue this happened. My mom woke him up and asked him what happened. Apparently he was awake all night (we think he was wasted) and on his way to work when he went off the road and started to go into the ditch and over corrected and slammed into our mailbox. He says he was coming to the door to tell us but he fell asleep. We didn't call the cops cos it's just the mailbox and some tire marks in the yard plus we couldn't be bothered to deal with it. lol. It gave us a good laugh but ####### was this guy thinking?

This story loosely reminds me of an incident that happened at my parents' house while I was growing up...

This truck pulled into our driveway and two workers got out, sat down on the driveway and began having lunch. I suppose it never occurred to them that they were trespassing on private property. So my mother goes outside and tells them to "beat it!" They look at each other, both very surprised for some reason or another, pack up their stuff and leave.

It was very odd. I don't think you have to be a genius to figure out that you don't just park on someone's property and have lunch there -- at least not without their permission.

my 2 cents he should have been reported next time it might be you or a neighbor child getting in his way not the mailbox or if the mailbox hadnt stopped him how about your house....

I'm quite a sound sleeper and I sleep with a fan on and our bedroom is at the back of the house so that's probably why I didn't hear anything I wondered the same thing
