yes, this thing makes me very angry, how can they be under staffed? All I need is a NOA1 so I can apply for the K3 visa, I am stuck now because of this delay as many of us are. My wife is getting more and more sad, if this process take too long, I will go and live with her until it comes in.

I sent my 130 on August 14 and nothing yet. VSC are very slow in processing 130

New USCIS Application and Receipting Update as of October 5

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) advises customers that processing of fee payments and entry of cases into our tracking system remains behind schedule due to the tremendous increase in the number of applications filed. As a result, applicants are experiencing delays in receiving notices of receipt. USCIS is working hard to deal with the increased volume.

USCIS will honor the actual date that an application was received in our mailroom; this date will be indicated on the receipt (in the Received Date box) when Form I-797, Notice of Action, is mailed. If your case is affected by the receipt delay, arrival of your receipt may take up to 12 weeks for adjustment-of-status applications and 15 weeks for naturalization and other applications.

Until this situation is resolved, USCIS will provide the following weekly updates on progress in issuing receipt notices to our customers. Additional information is available in Frequently Asked Questions, located under “Related Links” on this page. We appreciate your understanding.

IMPORTANT: If you have submitted your application and are changing your address, you need to update your address with USCIS. If you have paid by:

Check: You can report your address change from our website, using USCIS’ Change of Address Online. This requires a receipt number. Look at the back of the cancelled check that was returned to you through your bank. On the back should be the 13-digit USCIS receipt number which looks like this (but will have different letters and numbers) ABC 01 23456789 Use your 13-digit number when you are asked to input your receipt number in your change of address.

Money order: You can report your change of address by calling USCIS Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-375-5283 , and a USCIS Customer Service agent will enter your new address for you.

As of October 5, 2007, USCIS has completed initial data entry and issued receipt notices for applications and petitions received on or before the dates indicated:

It's so depressing. Looks like VSC has not been prosessing any NOA1 for I-130 for the past 5 weeks. It has been 7/29/07 for 5 weeks!!!! However, CSC has moved forward 11 days for I-130 NOA1 since Sept.28.

Anyone received the NOA 1 on the I-130? I filled mine on the 14th of Septmeber 2007. Anyone from August received it? Please post here if you have NOA 1.

Thank you

I read in here somewhere that they were working on Sept 3. Judging from the Firday updates from USCIS other forms are starting to show current. Hopefully they are starting to move on I-130's.

Checked on money order yesterday nothing, was being good this week and chilling from really doing anything, ok well its Thursday and just sent my Congressional Inquiry Form with letter stating facts that are going on (ok was good for four days at three days at least). Why are some applications going through I-129f and not 1-130's etc . Ya know the whole kit and kaboodle - hes pretty good here in Orlando, but was not asking about my case since I do not have a receipt either, but was asking for someone or even the jaintor at this point there in Washington DC to help all of us waiting. Dunna know, wait and see.
