I reckon you guys will start to see some action in January... that's NEXT MONTH :D

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Well thanks a lot StillThePrettiest, now you've got me all excited. And not just about your hawt unibrow! ;) Someone please give me a tranquilizer that'll put me out for the next 30 days.

@Daly: What could you possibly bring from Canada that we don't already have here? We have hockey now, you know!  (sorry, just trying to live up to the dumb American stereotype...)

@ChrisC: I know what you mean. My SO doesn't really understand the process, and has pretty much left it in my hands. About all I can tell her right now is that the interview in Moscow will be in the spring. But she's starting to ask about firm dates so she can make plans. And dangit, we were planning on her staying with her friend in Moscow, but she had to up and get herself married and leave the city. And lodging in Moscow is crazy expensive. Pretty inconsiderate of her friend if you ask me. :)

WEEEEELLLLL <grin> I for one, am feeling ON TOP OF THE MOON today... ahhh not for what you think (an NOA-2) would be just the most wonderful gift right now...

just wanted to share...

BUT - I JUST bought my wedding dress... WHOOO HOOOOOOOOO....

oh you must all go and look at it...

Davids Bridal, style VW9340

http://www.davidsbridal.com/search.jsp?sea...ch_query=VW9340

and the BEST thing is - I have had my heart set on this dress - and by accident came across someone selling it on EBAY (brand new, never worn) for LESS than half price including shipping, my size and all... so rang the lady selling it to ask a few questions - all on the up and up... so paid for it... and she was already boxing it up to send to me... (too funny though, she is sending it to me here in Australia, and she's in the USA - just in case I need to get any alterations done)... and it will arrive here around the same time as my DARLING USC fiance will arrive (as he's coming here for Xmas) <grin> could have had it shipped to him (but would have been too worried that he'd take a sneak peek) LOL...

So I am dancing around feeling pretty darn good about everything, and at the rate that our application is going - we are probably looking at an April interview and moving over there in May... so a late May/early June wedding which for this dress will be absolutely perfecto.... and for a second marriage, I don't think this dress is too "weddingish" or over the top - if you know what I mean... ??

have a GREAT day folks

Tracy

26/9/2007 Steve posted I129F & check to CSC

27/9/2007 CSC received it at 9.00am - signed by D.Bohn

""at this point on my timeline it said adjucation could be around the 8th March 2008"" What the??

25/10/2007 NOA1 issued

26/10/2007 Check cashed

29/10/2007 NOA1-Hard Copy received ...

2/11/2007 Touched

4/11/2007 Touched

20/11/2007 Went to police station for fingerprinting and National police check

4/12/2007 Police called police & fingerprint check done and ready for my collection

(getting ahead of myself I know <grin> but want to get everything ready

and organised - so MUCH paperwork/costs when there is me AND kids involved)

.....

13/1/2008 - The estimated date on my timeline for adjudication NOW SAYS 21st March... OUCHIE..

29/1/2008 - WOW the estimated date on my timeline NOW says 7th April.... COME ON FOLKS.. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR TIMELINES IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO... your updates help give number crunchers like myself something to gauge. 4th feb - all these approvals MUST be doing something, my timeline NOW says 2nd April...

5/2/08 - YAY YAY YAY.... NOA-2 approval via email from CRIS... WHOO HOOOOOOOOOOO.... the "estimated timeline said 31 March this morning just as an FYI for you all)

9/2/2008 Flying to Ohio to spend a bit of time with my darling man to arrange our wedding and also just to spend some time together :-)

......

It sounds so good to hear everyone so positive! The christmas season must has gotten into into eveyrone....and on top of that I think we are all realizing that our turn is coming just around the corner. I know that for me I am not happy to spend another holiday season away from my fiance, and yet I have to believe that these weeks will pass quickly and soon enough we will be in January! That is definitely a blessing.

For those of you who get to visit your SO for the holidays...enjoy it! i will try not to be envious, esecially since I just got back from Chile a week ago.

And for those of you buying wedding dresses ;) that is awesome! How fun. I know that I was super excited the day that I bought my dresses and since then has decided no matter when this visa comes through we can get married--cause I already have the dress! haha

I'm thinking of hoarding crazy amounts of Shreddies, Clodhoppers, Rocky Mountain Soap products and some local homemade canuck stuffs. That's all that comes to mind so far. And no worries about the American stereotype; My USC keeps reminding me that canadian bacon is available there as well as indoor ice rinks for emergency re-Canadianize moments. :D

Tracy, that dress is BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to buy a dress. Right at this moment though we're not sure we'll have a big wedding. It may just end up being a quick legal ceremony at the courthouse and then a celebration on our first anniversary or something like that.

OMG! Thinking about possibly getting approvals next month sounds SO amazing right now! My fiancee just left this evening and I'm so sad and tired, even though I know he'll be back up to visit me at Christmas time. (as much as he just LOVES Canadian winters! ~giggles~)
