AUGUST I-129F FILERS UNDER CSC

I was hoping to get the NOA2 by January.

I filled on 8/23/2007, however by reading that article of a million pettitions in July to beat the filling fee increase and CSC moving very slowly the last two weeks, I think I will be lucky to even get the NOA2 by February.

The last NOA2s that were approved from CSC were June and Mid July fillers. I only heard of 1 or 2 AUG fillers from CSC that received their NOA2s.

Also, I received my NOA1 in early OCT.

Until now, I haven't even gotten a single touch.

Almost waiting for 5 months now. Still waiting patiently and hanging in there with the rest of the AUG fillers from CSC.

I know I'm not alone in this.

Lastly, I keep noticing on the based timeline data date has been moving forward day by day.

It has moved from as early as January 20th to now as early as February 25, 2008*. #######!!

we too re august filer sent it aug. 16, yah! it seems we can't expect to received notice this month, NOA2, but we will just hope that we will be able to early next month....

It makes me mad that VSC guys are getting approved at 3-4 months approval rate while CSC is sitting on their pant. Should we call CSC and ask them what is CSC missing?

Basically, I want to avoid a situation where I would wish I had done done something before while I was waiting for NOA2. I am thinking for items like affidavit of support and things like that.

Yes, affidavit is one of the things you could do. You could also collect your financial documents (tax transcripts, pay stubs, W-2s, bank statements), you don't need all of them, but enough to prove that you have sufficient income. Get a letter from your employer stating your position, annual salary, full or part time, and wether your position is indefinate of has a term limit.

Your fiancee could get a police report done. The medical is best done as close to the interview as possible, but it's also valid for 6 months, so could be done earlier. This all depends on the specifics of the consulate you are going through. Some of them send out and expect a return of packet 3 before the interview and that packet could have some specific requirements for the medical and police report and such. Make sure to find out these details before you do all this.

TO MY SURPRISE......TODAY WE GOT AN EMAIL CONFIRMING WE HAVE BEEN APPROVED 174 DAYS AFTER FILING. (WE ARE AUGUST FILERS - FILED ON AUGUST 3RD - NOA1 RECEIVED AUGUST 17TH).....HOOOOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY DIDNT EXPECT THIS AFTER THE DATE ON MY TIMELINE HAD MOVED 2 MONTHS FROM ORIGINAL PREDICTED DATE OF DECEMBER 9TH TO FEB 9TH.....JUST WANT TO SAY GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YOU GUYS RECEIVING YOUR NOA2'S.....OH AND WE DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY TOUCHES WHATSOEVER SINCE NOA1 WAS SENT.....

APPROVED TODAY :D I called with the RFE trick, he told he it was approved today - it just hasnt hit the system yet

I gasped when he told me, he completely shocked me. I was just expecting to hear "a few more weeks probably". He said "acctually, it was approved today".

I dont think I could have taken any more waiting

I called up Mary and told her that I called the CSC, that the guy couldnt find the case. I made it sound worse then it was. And then I said that he found it and we are approved I had her going for a moment there.
