Hi to all,

I havent posted for a while, but we sent in our packet 3 papers about a month and a half ago, and a week and a half ago I sent an email to Ciudad Juarez...which they never responded to. So I sent another email today...and they wrote back that OUR APPOINTMENT IS SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 11!!!! I can hardly breathe because I am so excited! :):):):D

Now, a couple of questions.

Has anyone gone through the process when their visa a previously denied due to previous drug use? (sorry if that sounds redundant!) What exactly do we need to take? My husband is going to a psychologist and will have blood tests done. Can anyone think of anything else we should do? (He has not used for more than 3 years now.)

Since we applied for the CR-1/IR-1 visa (sorry, i cant remember what the difference is right now), will they give him the green card and everything at the visa interview? We have been married for more than 2 years, so that restriction won't be a problem.

Will he be able to travel freely? (We want to be home for my sister's December wedding, but its very likely my husband will have to travel back to Mexico in Jan to finish some business here.)

Thanks so much for any help! I hope everyone's visa process is much faster than ours, but that everyone hears good news soon!

Cindy

thats good,,good luck,,well if he gets the k-3 ,,then he/she will have to adjust the status in the u.s ,,the cr-1 visa,,,is a  different story,,,u will give the visa at the poe or the airport and then they will stamp the green card on ur passport,,,until u recieve the green in mail,,which takes about a month after the entery,,u can use the cr-1 stamp on ur passport as the green card,,and if it comes to a choice,,i will go for the cr-1 ,,its better,,u get the green card right the way,,and u dont have to adjust in the u.s and pay more money

Hello to all again,

As I previously posted, we found out that we have our interview the 11th of Dec. I am still waiting for the packet from immigration though. When they sent me the email, they told me it was in the mail. That was almost a month ago. (We are living in Mexico, and have received our other immigration mail at our address here. And I know how mail is here in Mexico, but I have always received everything else sent to me, including two other pieces of mail from the US this month.) But since it has been a month, I thought that I would send a quick email to immigration. I got an automatic reply saying,

"Please direct all yours inquiries to our Call Center to the following numbers: From Mexico: Charge to your telephone invoice 01-900-849-49-49 Credit card 01-477-788-70-70 Banamex PIN 01-800-112-85-00 From USA: 1-900-476-1212 If your inquiry is regarding an I-601 Waiver which has been pending formore than 10 months, please contact US CIS at the following address: P.O. Box 9896 El Paso, TX 79995 Congressional offices may contact us via normal telephone/fax during ournormal office hours. All others must use the Call Center. Thank you."

I suppose that means that I have to call? Did they really cut off all immigration support through email? That really stinks if they did, because it is SO expensive to call! And even more so if you are earning pesos...:S

Thanks to anyone who can answer my question!
