it's an identifying feature, like having brown hair as opposed to brown or brown eyes instead of hazel.

Hair and eye color also change, my hair is blonde but I dye it dark brown (my license says brown, the guy didn't even ask me, the color looks very natural) ... and my mom had a friend who was Brazilian who got stopped while wearing turquoise contact lenses and they were going to give him a ticket for using someone else's license, because his license said he had brown eyes! I swear I'm not making that up (unless he did, but I heard it straight from him). He had to take out his contact lens for the officer to believe him. (And I mean, he was Brazilian! He looked Brazilian! And the contacts were bright turquoise!)

My old license in NJ just had height and eye color. My new one in NM has height, weight, hair and eye color. And yes, I lied. But I did put the weight that people guess I am ... Surely it's more useful to have the weight I look like than the weight I actually am? It also makes my hair look very, very long because I had it behind my shoulders so it looks really long, but it's actually only slightly past my shoulders. So it doesn't really look like me either.

I didn't lie about it, but that might have been because everybody who worked at the DMV was about 50 pounds above my own weight. For some reason, I also though they could tell by looking at me; there's no way I'm 125 pounds or even 140. It sometimes sucks to be compulsively honest... ;)

I'd have thought that your photo tells them if you're a skinnyminny, a regular weight or very heavy... I mean, my face looks positively moonlike in my photo so anybody can tell I'm fat! Aside from the size I'm actually pleased with the photo - I'm smiling and it's a halfway decent pic of me. It came out much better than the one in my greencard, and my passport has the worlds WORST picture on it! I used to cringe every time I had to show my passport for ID because the photo's so bad, but I won't mind this one :)

Hmmm... I sense another poll coming on!

Karen - Melbourne, Australia/John - Florida, USA

- Proposal (20 August 2000) to marriage (19 December 2004) - 4 years, 3 months, 25 days (1,578 days)

STAGE 1 - Applying for K1 (15 September 2003) to K1 Approval (13 July 2004) - 9 months, 29 days (303 days)

STAGE 2A - Arriving in US (4 Nov 2004) to AOS Application (16 April 2005) - 5 months, 13 days (164 days)

STAGE 2B - Applying for AOS to GC Approval - 9 months, 4 days (279 days)

STAGE 3 - Lifting Conditions. Filing (19 Dec 2007) to Approval (December 11 2008)

STAGE 4 - CITIZENSHIP (filing under 5-year rule - residency start date on green card Jan 11th, 2006)

*N400 filed December 15, 2011

*Interview March 12, 2012

*Oath Ceremony March 23, 2012.

ALL DONE!!!!!!!!

Good idea! We could also have a bad picture contest. Too bad I had to trade in my Indiana license a few weeks ago... But the picture on my not-yet-arrived visa is about the worst.

LMAO

My ME state ID has my height, weight, eye colour and hair colour printed for the world to see. I didn't lie about my weight at the time, but it's not very accurate anymore
