I called the help line while I was working on my paperwork and they told me that my foreign husband did not need to sign the G-325a, that I could sign my name, but I have been reading otherwise. Does anyone know if the beneficiary's signature must be on these forms?

Visa Journey:

Whoever the G-325A pertains to must sign it themselves.

You can't believe what the help line peeps tell you a LOT of the time.

That's why a lot of peeps call it the "Misinformation line".

Nevertheless, there is a USCIS directive out there stating that petitions that are otherwise complete will not be denied for the lack of a signature on the G325a. I wouldn't try it if it was only going to save a week or two.

My buddy had his wife''s g-325 scanned, faxed and sent to him so e could send to the USCIS.

That being said, the g-325 is readuly available for download. If it's not a problem ave them download

it, sign it, and send it directly to the NVC. Hope this helps.

Huh? G-325a forms are required with the petition, sent to USCIS. By the time NVC sees the petition, it is already approved. Do not send anything directly to NVC unless it is requested. They will not be requesting a G325a because if it is missing, they'll never see the petition to begin with.

I am aware of thhe process. However, this is based on the notion that an unsigned G-325A was sent in. He should not sign for it on his beneficiaries behalf and expect

the form to be accepted. His I-130 is ok, it's his G-325A he's worried about.

And I'm aware he's asking about the signature on the G325a. Nevertheless, the G325a is a USCIS form, sent to in with the petition. NVC is a Department of State operation that doesn't see the petition until after USCIS has approved it. Sending a G325a to the NVC is useless.
