The best thing to do when hubby gets quiet (as my hubby sometimes does) is hug him and try to make him laugh. It always works with us...we end up laughing and playing around.

For this situation: You didn't do anything wrong at all. Let him know that even though he likes to walk away in rough times, for your sanity you want to talk things out at some point.

One time a friend of mine, well ok me, the SO got pizzy about not having socks matched or washeded or something like that. went to work without saying good bye. anyway it was something i usually do and forgot. big deal. i wasnt going to apologize because OH Heck No He just didnt get stupid about SOCKS. Well we came to the solution in middle. He can match socks when im busy with work, or i take and extra day off of work to do so. And no hit and run remarks allowed becuase I will track him down.
