Are you looking in Gary's Republican crystal ball too?

I'm a Libertarian, I could care less about the Republicans at this point. Honestly, I see almost no difference between the Republicans and Democrats anymore, other than largely irrelevant ####### about religion.

I think the Democrats are squandaring an opportunity they have with an unpopular incumbant.

The issue with American presidential politics is that the primaries tend to favor candidates that do not resonate with moderate voters. It is only die-hard Republicans and Democrats that vote in primaries, and this favors the extremes of both parties.

The parties do a poor job of choosing candidates that will ultimately be competive in the general elections.

Clinton campaign sends volunteer to Obama

I came to Iowa as a die-hard Hillary Clinton supporter/volunteer, who was ready to help elect the first woman president of the United States.

I had extra time to spend in Iowa before a trip to Fargo, so I decided to volunteer for a week before I went to Fargo and for two weeks afterward.

Within the first couple of days of arriving, I had seen three field workers cry because of the abuse they took. The volunteers were segregated and treated like second-class citizens. I left after my first week, hoping things would change, but they did not.

I was ignored, even though I asked many people for work to do. So I decided to leave the campaign as a volunteer, knowing that I have been supporting the wrong candidate.

As a former state president of College Democrats and having worked on numerous campaigns, I have never seen people treated so badly. I have officially changed my views: I believe Barack Obama will be the best president of United States.

(And it's not an ad hominem to point to someone's crazy views as evidence of their views being crazy. Just in case it comes up again.)

...but it is an ad hominem to point out that because of some of my (according to him objectable) views my other non-related views would be objectable on the same grounds. It's presicely an ad hominem to say "don't listen to Stabu regarding anything related to racism or raciality because he thinks that the White men produced the civilization" this is identical to the famous "don't listen to any of Nietzsche's views on religion because Nietzsche is an atheist". The argument pointed this out rather clearly (and even Number 6 admitted that his argument was an ad hominem, like it would prove anything but still).

Well, I'm not exactly sure if that word can be used as such, but according to Wikipedia racialism is "the belief in the existence and significance of racial categories, but not necessarily in a hierarchy between the races, or in any political or ideological position of racial supremacy. One racialist position is the controversial claim of a measurable correlation between race and intelligence." It's basically a new word used by some becaus the word racist has become such a taboo and it is currently associated with being almost against any group of people, even if these wouldn't be races by any means (such as say Muslims, gays, blonds or what not).
