LOL,

You can pass the THC test as long as you haven't smoked for 4 weeks in advance.

Plain and simple, and deny ever using anything.

Don't worry weed goes away from metabolism after 2 weeks. But if you wanna make sure he can use a detox for marijuana. It clears your system right away.

But the thing is he needs to drink it with empty stomach and a lot of cranberry juice and 3-4 galoons of water. After peeing the 5th time he should be ok trust me xD

P.S: My friend did it and got an interview for the job. He was still high when they took urine samples. So don't worry.

Are you sure they don't check your blood for other things? That's the norm. . . In any event, they also normally ask questions about drug and alcohol use.

Plain and simple, and deny ever using anything

To each his own, but this "advice" is a violation of VJ TOS among other things. . .

I have always felt honesty is the best policy. If you have to compromise your character to get something; is it really worth pursuing? And then, where do you draw the lines in the amount of compromises you are willing to make?

Drugs = no visa. Depending on the quantity and potency of the pot it can take longer to clear the system. My advice to this young man is leave the hooch alone and stay clear of anyone smoking it.

Why do you think they take your blood, have you pee in a cup and answer questions about drug and alcohol use? It's not country based - drug use a visa ineligibility (with an exception for "one-time experimentation").

They don't do drug testing at the panel physicians in Canada. The blood drawn was only for HIV and syphilis (they only took 2 vials, one for each)... no urine testing at least not at the panel physician I went to. They do ask the standard questions though.

Ditto misa dahlinnnnn, I don't think they do- though they never REALLY tell you what the blood gets tested for or show you the results for that matter... so honesty is still the best policy. Panel physician asked me about medications, I responded truthfully: so if they show up on blood screening I won't get into a freakin mess.

Honesty, honesty, honesty.

Well they aren't obligated to tell you what they are looking for . . . and clearly they are looking for visa ineligibilities i.e. communicable diseases and drug use!

I paid for a 2nd copy of my medical just so I would have a copy and to look through it (yeah, I broke the seal on it... if I needed a 3rd sealed copy, I would have got another one). Looking at it now, both vials went to one lab and the only results on it are for HIV and syphilis. No drug testing.

See my response to Len. I have a full copy of my medical. It just doesn't look like standard practice for the physicians in Canada to do it. That's not to say that they never do it though. I'm sure that if someone went in and looked like they were hopped up on something or said they have done drugs, they'd probably perform a drug screening.

you can figure out what tests were ordered by looking at the lab sheet that they give you. HIV and RPR (an antibody indicative of syphilis) were the only tests requested. And while it is possible to test for drugs or metabolites in plasma, it is pretty expensive and uncommon.

I'm not sure about Canada, but I know in the US you must sign a form consenting to a drug test or have a court order forcing you to get one. It's illegal for someone to test you without that consent.

Absolutely deny drug use. And stop using at least till after you get to the States.

true, but if the examing doc (or consular officer) suspects someone is a total cone head, they can order a drug test. A hair test shows drugs up to 3 months. I dont know if that includes weed.

I agrea canada doesnt do drug test , they didnt with me neather ( no pee in da cup ) and I did read everything 2 times before i put my signature on it , there was the regular drug questions and history questions , it is against the law to check for anything you have no knowladge off , ( invation of privacy ) thats why they ask you to be honest at the questionary you complete before you sign it
