My IV fee bill was generated on 8/13/2007

and received on.... 9/6/2007

Hopefully all those IV bills generated on 8/20 will find their home this week.

Of all the spots for the NVC to get stuck...the part where we give them alot of dough!

I'm not even going to check on my IV bill for another two weeks!

Generated 8/27/07, received today 9/8/07. Guess they are clearing them out now...

Have you filed the money order inquiry yet?

Sending a copy of the cancelled check to NVC might be just what you need to get out of this mess.

I continuously call my bank and ask them if it's been cashed yet, but it hasn't. The NVC most likely lost it, along with everyone else who sent theirs in August 2.

Is there a way to track my status in USCIS if I made a payment with a cashier's check? I have seen some people use a number of their cleared personal check to track their staus before getting their NOA, so I am just wondering if I could do the same.

A little bit of background I am in a DORA state so we have no choice but to pay with a cashier check or money order. And I just had my interview ( submitted i-130 and I-485 and 864 and was accpeted) on 8/14 so I have not received my NOA yet or anything for that matter expect a "You have been accpeted into the DORA program" letter that they give at the interview.

So back to my question would my bank have some kind of number i could use?

Thanks for all your replies in advance.

That's such a good news ! Maybe they will process the rest of us soon too :)! Did you try to pester them a lot by calling them and asking for a new IV bill or sending them any copy of your reciet or sending them a new IV bill or equal?

And they announced on Friday the U.S. passport backlog is eliminated and they are back down to 6 weeks! (Note, Natl. Passport Center is across the street from the Natl. Visa Center, both are part of the Dept. of State). And they just approved my U.S. passport application on Sundaynight too (yes, I literally got the NPIC email notification Sunday at 11PM)!

Certainly appears that Dept. of State had some all-nighters in Portsmouth NH this past weekend finishing passport and visa business! :clock:

Looks like the surge in staff at Natl Passport Center has allowed some of them to graduate (at least temporarily) to the Natl Visa Center. :goofy:

Glad everyone is back on track, this one should be recorded in the Book of World Records!

So, as everyone who was on this list had their bills found? I hope so!

We were quite lucky they did find them, as the "new" IV fee bill I requested in August still hasn't arrived yet :P

I just got off the phone with K, a lovely operator at the NVC who was indeed happy to help me (maybe she's still new?). She told me that our IV bill was entered into the system "a couple days ago", so I'm guessing it was done on 9/14. And they received our affidavit of support. Yay!

I sent the payment on 9/8 Priority Mail, and today (Wed.) the annoucement tells me they processed the IV payment on Monday. Tuesday's announcement had no mention of the payment being received. I'd think more likely your IV payment was processed Tue. 9/18, not Fri. 9/14. You should know for sure tomorrow.

Question for all, how likely is it that my DS-230 will generate Monday 9/24? I'm inclined to send it out tomorrow (Thurs) so that it arrives right on time on 9/24.
