We have received Our NOA1 and NOA2. The embassy has received the approval from NVC and already sent the instruction letter. We just completed the DS-160. Now at the payment page and it is asking for a "invoice number". No where do I see a invoice number. Where do I get this number?

Follow Consulate instructions for paying the visa application fee.

I just google and found the following statement. I may be wrong but we are in the same boat and wondering just as you.

"The Invoice ID Number is often missing from the initial NVC Welcome Letter because the case may not be formally processed yet, or the letter is solely meant to confirm receipt and transfer of the petition. Invoice IDs are frequently sent in a separate, subsequent email or require a public inquiry."

NVC does not issue a receipt number for K-1 visa cases. They are only issued for Immigrant Visa cases.

So when I go to pay,

Exactly what fees are you trying to pay?  For an immigrant visa (CR-1), that would be the NVC processing fee and the Affidavit of Support fee....which are not applicable for K-1 cases.
