Good Afternoon all... Can anybody point me in the right direction... I am a New Yorker (US citizen) I  filed my I-130 for my  Dominican spouse in Dec. 2025. We are now expecting. How does this change my application... Or what changes do I need to make/take. The baby is due around November 2026.  By then my wife will probably still be waiting for the  NVC interview. How would I then add a child to my application if I already sent it in? Can I at all get my child a US Passport or because they will be born abroad have the citizenship of that country DR. Please be easy with your responses and not rude. This is a learning process for me.

Your child will be a citizen of both the DR and the USA.  You will file a CRBA to obtain a consular birth record and then apply for babe's US passport.  Once your partner is awarded her I-551, she will travel to the US on her DR passport with the visa and your child will travel on their US passport.
