Hi all

good evening

please help me in this situation here is my info

In 2012, I entered the US on a C1D visa, and later married a US citizen in 2019. I filed Form I-360 in 2020, but my marriage turned out to be abusive, leading to a divorce in 2022. Fortunately, my I-360 was approved in November 2022, and I received my green card in April 2023 without undergoing an interview. I've recently remarried in India in June 2023 and submitted a spousal visa application (Form I-130) in January 2024. As a parent of two, I'm concerned about meeting the eligibility criteria for naturalization. Is it advisable to apply now or wait for five years ? Am really worried about current situation going on
. did they ask about Vawa and remarried is the issue  I remarried after got the green card approved April 2023 received GC . June 2022  remarried  . Am so confused and panic .Thank you for your advice

Definitely consult with an Immigration attorney. Complicated situation. Don't think you're eligible under 3 yr rules anyway.

I agree, a lawyer consult may be warranted here, but you can naturalize under the 3 yr rule.  I do not know how much they probe the VAWA basis for your LPR status, but they will review your complete case history, so they should be aware of it.

Honestly, if your goal is naturalization, I would not wait despite the current political environment.

Good Luck!
