Hi everyone!! :)

My spouse is a USC, we have a I-130 with consular processing 🇨🇦 which was just approved and we are now dealing with NVC to get DQ. We are hoping to get a CR1 (married just over 1 year)

My question is at what point do we provide updated evidence for bona fide relationship? (i.e. visits since the I130 was filed etc) I know we will need to provide updated evidence when we get to the IR1 stage and file to remove conditions

I have read the .gov sites and nothing says that I am supposed to be uploading this type of evidence to the NVC at this stage (DS-160 and Affidavit of Support)

Our first package was pretty substantial, showing communication of over a decade and just under 10 visits together

Should I just bring updated evidence to the interview in Montreal in case they request it? Or would NVC send an RFE if they want me to upload updated evidence?

I just want to make sure I am not missing something here! Thanks so much for any advice you can provide!

Since your I-130 is approved, you'll receive an invite to fill out the DS-260, where this information will go.  Your spouse will have to fill out the I-864 Affidavit of Support.  Once all of this is approved, you'll have your interview scheduled.  I recommend studying the guide here:

You are going to need to know all the places they've lived since they were 16 years old...this one was a pain for me as I moved a lot.

Your spouse is going to need their income tax for the last 3 years.  I highly recommend getting their 2025 taxes sent if they haven't already.  Also, make sure they are filed correctly since you're married (married filing separately, NOT single).

For evidence of continuing relationship, yes.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you for responding - I’ve already done all of that. I was wondering specifically about whether an updated bona fide evidence package would be required at this stage.

It is not required at this stage, but you can upload additional documentation to CEAC before you are Document Qualified.  Not a lot of marriage fraud out of Canada though, so not really critical considering what you submitted already with the petition.
