My fiancé has tried several times to update his address online, but it keeps showing “Personal Information Not Found.” We double-checked and made sure all the details were entered correctly. Does this happen often?

I also read that mailing the AR-11 form may not be helpful, so I wanted to ask if anyone here has experienced the same issue and found a way to successfully update their address online.

Thank you!

If this is before the interview, he can make the change on the DS-160 or at the time of the interview.

Thread is shifted from the K-1 Case Progress subforum to the K-1 Process forum.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

AR-11 is used after the green card is in hand.  If you are in a stage prior to interview, the foreign fiancée does not need to update their address until submitting the visa application.

Doesn't the beneficiary address need to be corrected so that they physically receive packet 3?  I am under the impression that some documents from packet 3 will need to be brought to the medical, documentation review, and/or interview.

No.  No physical receipt of what is referred to as packet 3.  The only thing sent on paper is the return of the passport with visa after the interview.  See the title of this thread.  The foreign fiancee's personal information is not found on USCIS.gov because USCIS only deals with the Petitioner.  The Foreigner will only have a way to contact USCIS directly, after they file to adjust status after marriage in the USA.  Online and email  with the Consulate only until then.

Consulate/Embassy now uses 2Go express for this.  https://ph.usembassy.gov/2go-express-is-the-new-courier-for-visa-applications/

I knew the passport will be returned by courier, didn't realize the packets were sent only electronically.  Seems that the guides named "K1 Flowchart" and "K1/K2 FAQ" on this site are becoming very outdated.

If everything is emailed, that makes me glad that this weekend I sent an NVC inquiry to add my fiancee's email address to the file, since it wasn't requested on the I-129F.

Sorry, I should have clarified earlier—my fiancé (the petitioner) is the one trying to update his address online through his USCIS account. Unfortunately, he keeps receiving the same message: “Personal Information Not Found.” I’m wondering if this might just be a system glitch, as I’ve seen others online mention experiencing the same issue. Has anyone here experienced this as well, and if so, how were you able to successfully update your address?

I don't think petitioners, who are US citizens, normally have USCIS accounts... those are for applicants, just like A-numbers.  (If he had immigrated himself in the past, he would have an account)

Try the contact form and include your WAC receipt number when you write them.

USCIS does not issue visas.  In this kind of case, nobody has applied for anything yet.  The beneficiary will not have a USCIS account until they are in the USA, married to the petitioner, and applying to adjust status.
