In our case, we plan to meet face to face first time this month. Easy to prove with passport intrnational travel log and video/phone call log of past 5 months. Exploring options on K1 Vs CR1.

Hopefully you plan to spend significant time in each other's company before filing for any visa.

The specific reason for my comment is due to the recent history of K-1s from India that were fraudulently pursued by already married couples who wanted to bypass the longer wait for spouse visas.  This was a few years ago now, but it was widespread, and the increased K-1 scrutiny for India still exists.

We’re agreeing. I was providing extra comments that from a government-wide level, a lot of people view K-1 with suspicion.

Being from a country that already has increased risk of fraud doesn’t help that.

But you said above you're 'getting married to US citizen this month'. So CR-1 is your only option.

How much time will there be between meeting for the first time and marrying?

I should have been more careful on saying "getting married" words. Plan is, meet face-to-face first, then enagement then marry.

In the mean time, check what are our best options, what documents needed etc. First issue found was Birth certificate/Password issue. Once that is resolved, then we have to discuss and decide on K1 (hold marriage till it approved and get married in US) or CR 1 (2 years wait in India) topic.

One step at a time...

Ah, I see. That makes more sense. Hopefully the comparison list above helps you work out which would be best for you, personally I can't see why anybody would ever choose the K-1, but everybody is different. A key thing for me at the moment would be the current administration, who (as mentioned in the comparison list) could add India to the list of banned countries at a moment's notice, which would mean the K-1 would be rendered useless and you'd have to start from scratch. Too risky for me personally.

It should be less than 2 years for CR-1 if you're prompt with the NVC stage though, it's quicker than it was a while back.

Good luck.
