No W-2 Form because sponsor is retired? (IR2 visa)

Hello everyone, NVC is asking for additional documents, "2024 W-2, 1099, and Schedule form."

However, My petitioner (my father) is retired and does not have W-2. I asked him, and he does not have these documents. In the I-864 form, Part 6, the box checked is retired. 

The Financial evidence we submitted was Form 1040 (is this also the tax transcript?), it is filed jointly with his wife (not my mother)

If i understand correctly, his income is spouse pension? since his wife is the one who is working, while he is "retired" (as declared in form 1040 and form i-864)

 

 

How do we go about this? Do i need to write a letter explaining that we dont have W2? Thank you very much 🙏🏼

The traacripts USCIS is interested in are Tax Return Transcripts from IRS website, they can be downloaded for free.

 

It looks like they're not sure he's eligible to sponsor. What was his income in 2024? Do you have a joint sponsor?

1. if he gets SSA , he recieves a SSA 1099 every year showing past years income from Social securiyt
2. if he gets company retirement ,he will get 1099R
3. If railroad pension there are 2 different ones he would receive RRB-1099 and RRB-1099-R
