Hello everybody,

Just for the for would like to get ahead on having it prepared - would I need to submit i-134 this along with the DS-160 at first step? or is it just to have it ready to bring the embassy. Also, someone provide a link of the poverty guideline since I am confused with the 125% or 100% for K1 visa process?

There is a great K-1 guide here on Visa Journey which might be helpful.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

You are going to have to meet the I 864 125 % anyway so focus on that.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Okay thank you I understand that I will need to yes, I'm just looking into the I-134 first step for K-1 as it's unclear on this part as it states 100% for this yet overall as seen 125% so I'm just curious for sending this first step (I-134) if that just needs to be the 100% and its separate for the adjustment stage that's 125%

This is correct, the I-134 requires 100% and the I-864 required during adjustment is 125%.

As for your first question, I believe it varies by embassy whether you submit the I-134 prior or just bring it to interview. Filling out your timeline so that people can answer your questions most accurately would be helpful. In my experience the I-134 and all accompanying evidence was brought to the interview and given to the officer, but again, this can be different based on location.

K1 requires 100%.

AOS after marriage requires 125%.

So many advise that you just evidence meeting 125% right from the start, as if you don't you will need to evidence a further 25% increase of petitioner income between K1 approval and AOS (which may not be a particularly long time, for me it was only 5 months).

I self sponsored and brought the documentation to the Interview.
