Hello everyone,

A family member has their appointment at the US consulate in Paris two weeks ago. They were told the visa is approved and they'll get their passport back in 1 or 2 weeks. They still have not received it and the appointment was over 2 weeks ago. This is for a renewal, when they applied the first time, they got their passport after a few days.

Is there some additional checks being done? It's not possible to get someone on the phone to ask if the passport was sent and it's the French post system dragging its feet. The school year started and this is causing some issues.

Thank you.

What does their online status say?

How did your family member choose to have the passport delivered? Or did they want to pick it up? At this point, I think they need to contact the embassy or the website used to book appointments
