We are in the early stage of the K-1. Filed on August 8 and received NOA1 on August 12. My fiancée (beneficiary) is visiting for a couple of weeks. Is it ok at this point whiles she is here to add her to my stuffs such as holding joint accounts etc. or wait after the 90-day visa is issued and we are officially married and living together before we start having "joint ownership" of assets in lieu of the adjustment of status application? It gets muddy sometimes, so your inputs are always welcome.

Please complete your timelines. I would wait for marriage until you add to bank account, health insurance etc. Would be very difficult without social security number anyway. Focus on getting as much time quality in person meetings. Note that you have to file I485 once your marriage certificate is done within the 90 days of entry. Do not adjust status if she is coming on a visit visa it's fraud if that's the intent before entry into the US.

I've heard lawyers say, in the strongest possible terms, not to add anyone to any accounts unless the parties are married to each other.

 

Collect other evidence:  receipts with both of your names on them, photos with family if feasible, and so on.  You might want to take notes about details of your activities, because memories fade as time passes  You can then review these experiences as the consular interview approaches, which will give the beneficiary more information and confidence.
