Hello everyone! I am about to file my N400 application marriage based with a pending i751. I've read some posts that you need to submit at least 3 years of evidence just like the i751 requirements. Below are my questions. Any advise will be much appreciated.

1 How do i upload the bank statements, do i upload each month like how i saved it in my phone from the banks app? Like 36 uploads if its for 3 years bank statements? And we actually have 2 banks.

2 How do i convert photos to jpeg from IOS since its all HEIF and how do i upload it online? And how do i put labels on our photos since its now online unlike with paper in which you can put a description. And do i upload it one by one too? Like 1 file name for every photo?

Thank you very much in advance!

1. Sure, unless you hit some limit in online form. Then you can combine few PDF into one file if too many files for the system.

2. Use Google Sheet or something similar. Past 3 pics per page with description. All photos can be in one file. Then export it to PDF

It's generally recommended that you do quarterly bank statements instead of monthly as it's sufficient but that is up to you.

As for technical how-to's, you can learn this on your own w/ a google search and youtube.

Oct 2022 - Married

Jan 2023 - Filed AOS packet

Feb 2023 - Biometrics

July 2023 - Greened (no interview)

May 2025 - ROC filed

Recommended by whom? I recommend the opposite - monthly statements. The lawyers I worked with on my AOS and I-751 recommended monthly over quarterly statements. I-751 instructions specifically ask for as much documents establishing bonafide marriage as possible.

With online submission, there'S even nothing to print. So argument that it's expensive etc does't work. Just clicking the button to upload files

Yeah we have a lot of bank statements since we have 2 banks. Im just not yet familiar with the uploading online that's what im trying to figure out yet. I can do one upload per month and it will be times 2 for 2 banks, so it will be 72 uploads for the bank statements. I can do it im just not sure if its okay. Like 1 file name per month?

What do you mean "all photos can be in one file?" Ex. We have 15 photos to upload, can that be in one file only or 5 files if 3 photos per page?

      Thank you in advance!

Either.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I went the complete opposite route and filed no evidence at all for the N400 with the pending ROC. Only required docs were uploaded.

There is no need to upload previous submitted evidence you only have one file.

Could become an issue when your file has stuff gone missing. My file had a lot of stuff gone missing. No amount of uploading from me, during the N400, could have saved me from the RFE I ended up getting for the ROC. Most of the missing stuff it was original I-129F paperwork and AOS stuff.

I don't know the internals of USCIS system for adjudicators, but I suspect the evidence is attached to a case. If this is true, then uploading makes sense, as adjudicator won't have to click around to find info from past cases. They'll have it in front of them for N-400. Which makes it easier to treat as a standalone case and approve it. Also, if prior info is lost, here it is.

Of course people can decide what they're comfortable with.

To me, uploading few digital files was very low effort. I was lucky to get approved on spot without RFEs. But I also applied under 5 year rule. Lawyer discouraged me from uploading tax return transcripts, which I did. Was never asked for it during interview.

Sometimes you have to listen to your gut and do what's right for you. For example, before interview I spent good time revisiting all travel dates. My case was so straightforward and clean, that the only thing adjudicator could try to mess up is accuse me of lying in the interview on some silly technicality. Lawyer said these questions barely come up and it's not so important. Guess what, adjudicator tried playing that game of reading incorrect dates and getting me to confirm them. I corrected adjudicator stating correct travel dates. And she got visibly disappointed because couldn't catch me lying there :)

I was shown my file during the N400 (not the inside but the actual folder) she held it up and said "here is your file".  It was only one file and all my previous filings appeared to be in there. I spotted and recognized some documents sticking out that I submitted during I-129F, AOS and ROC. She opened it and on top was the print out of my N400 File. To me it looked like they reorganize your file to get all the docs they need for the stage they are working on together.

I agree uploading again will not hurt you and if you want to you can but it is not required (it even used to say something like "unless already provided to USCIS at an earlier stage).

Since im applying on the 3 year rule would you recommend sending all the previously submitted i751 requirements including affidavits from family and friends and social media posts etc.?

Personally I could not be bothered by it and did not. (haven't looked at the forms in a while but none of those things were on the requirement list for any of the forms I ever filed and were, therefore, never included by me.

But If you feel it would help then by all means include them again
