I751 removal of conditions

Hello everyone, 

I have a question. My spouse and I were living together since 2022 he arrived with K1 visa. We went for interview and got approved for 2yra now its time to apply for i751.. My only concern is last year june he got a job in another state. We have alot of bills, pictures and we had our big celebration of our vows with family and friends in January. I am about to mail the paper work in and I know i have to add our DL, this is a case where out addresses are not the same, what should I do? I have copies of the old DL with our addresses, should I include that and his current one showing that he iust changed his address this year or since we have enough evidence I shouldnt bother about it? We have car insurace, title, life insurance, health insurance from his work, pictures, bills, affidavit from friends

Do not send information suggesting he lives at the same address when in fact he doesn't.

 

How often do you see each other?

 

Do you have documentation showing how you maintain your marriage (visiting each other etc)?

 

What's the long term plan for living situation?

 

Did he file I-865 within 30 days of moving? He's obliged as a sponsor.

A big help will be to do this:  Shop for a lawyer who can draft wills, medical & financial powers of attorney, and similar estate documents.  These make superlative evidence for ROC, and they're even more crucial to have in "life."  Remember that if you move from one U.S. state to another, your will may need to be redone.

You don’t HAVE to add DL, it is just a form of evidence that you could use to prove living at the same address. Since you haven’t lived at the same address for the last year, make sure to explain carefully why. 
 

What is the plan for the long term though? Is that job permanent or temporary?

I used Rocket Lawyer for this if you are price sensitive.  If you are savvy it's a decent alternative.  Obviously not as good as having an attorney so you should redo it once you accumulate significant assets.

Not giving legal advice here, but a couple of years ago I asked an estate/probate lawyer, "Do you make more money when people are intestate (= have no will) or when they try to do it themselves off the Internet?"  She laughed and said, "When they do it themselves, by a mile!  The Internet programs leave out crucial language and often aren't state-specific, so people end up in real trouble."
